Shenmue fans hoping for a new sequel now have Count Binface in their corner, who also wants Sega’s Trocadero arcade to make a comeback.
It remains to be seen whether Count Binface will succeed at being elected the MP of Clacton, as he opposes Nigel Farage, but he’s certainly going to net himself a few more supporters amongst diehard Sega fans.

I played Sonic Spinball, but I meant I never played on a proper pinball machine before.

I once had a dinky pinball machine once, but I can't remember what happened to it.

I remember this guy! He tried to run for Prime Minister.

But not like these candidates can be elected.

But yeah, I wish SegaWorld London was reopened so that I may have a chance to go. But there are reasons why it was shut down. If UK ever gets another SegaWorld, then Sega of Europe must comit to it as much as Sega of Japan comits to Joypolis.

There had also been plans for new Sega theme park in UK, US and Australia, but I've heard nothing of it since.

There's also Ninja Dojo Playground too in Joypolis Sport Hong Kong, such a miss that they don't associate it with Shinobi. Everything is just Sonic there.

Sega really should prioritize Sega All-Stars at least second to Sonic IMO. Amusements I mean, I know they have Two Point, Like A Dragon and Total War to cater to.

That's just British people being British. We're a country of moaners and proud of it.

But seriously, poor ticket sales, high rent cost and bad customer reviews were the prime reasons why SegaWorld London shut down. If we were to get a new Sega amusement area, especially one to last, not only will it need to improve on the faults SegaWorld London had, but make sure to keep a steady income of customers at the same time.

I sometimes fantasized, what if Sega brought what's left of Camelot Theme Park and made it into a brand-new Sega World?

• The castle could be done-up into a Twinkle Park like castle which serves somewhat like a Joypolis, such as arcades and games.
• The castle may also have convention halls, for various conventions themed on Sonic or other Sega franchises.
• Knightmare can be turned into a stand-up or inverted roller coaster. I also like to imagine it as a VR roller coaster where the whole rides simulate running through Green Hill Zone with Sonic. (Kind of like the Sonic Ride.)
• A Tails' themed Flying Scooters ride. (Or just various amusement parks in general than anything themed on Sega characters.)
• Go-kart area restored.
• In a nearby forest clearing, a smaller recreation of Curien Mansion. Perhaps a haunted attraction but with laser-tag guns to shoot animatronic zombies or something. I imagine also a popular place for Halloween carnivals.

Sadly, Scare City Experience has taken over the place. But it's how I imagine a Sega World theme park.


Honestly, the only way I can imagine a SegaWorld to thrive would be if it was part of Alton Towers. Alton Towers being the most popular and  major theme park in Britain. It's kind of like our Disney Land here but less obnoxious branding.

For example there this new 2 to 4-player arcade attraction "Ubisoft All-Star VR" that has all Ubisoft characters including Rabbids.

Guess which one is more popular here? Yep, Rabbids is more popular than Ubisoft. So may be depending on the place, Sonic is more popular than all other SEGA characters combined.

I'm thinking, just as Super Nintendo Land isn't an independent park and part of Universal Park, perhaps the only way Sega could have a theme park to last if it was part of a bigger, more successful park. For example, Chessington has theme land for PAW Patrol and soon for Minecraft. These themed areas last for around 8-26 years or so, which is still longer than SegaWorld.
