And not just protagonists, antagonists too.
What about named NPCs?
There's a gamefaqs forum about that, about who will win if they ever clash. Some said Skarin, others said Kratos.

Really, I figured they'd side with the more familiar guy.

Damn, the list just go on and on, doesn't it? And it doesn't even included Atlus games yet.

It's not a battle between game characters anymore.
It's a battle between Norse (modern) myths versus Greek (modern) myths.

Now you have to play Sonic '06 again for all the female NPCs, as well as all the other games with female NPCs. Yakuza games come to mind.

Also, I didn't see your last posts

Also, I didn't see your last posts

What post? About Skarin vs Kratos? My bad, I mistakenly quoted it. Edited now.

I guess so. But Viking: Battle for Asgard is a fairly dated game compared to God of War: Ragnarok. I haven't played either games so I can't really compare characters powers, strengths or weaknesses.

GOW Ragnarok's Kratos is already too strong since he's a god while Skarin is not.
So the fair comparison is against Kratos from the 1st GOW before he became the official God of War at the end after killing Ares.
Or against Kratos from the start of GOW II where he lost his full divine power due to being tricked into channeling it into the Blade of Olympus.

I guess so if it's between Skarin and classic Kratos would be more something.

Unfortunately in popularity term Kratos still won a lot. Skarin got no sequel games since the developer (Creative Assembly) shifted their primary efforts back toward their juggernaut Total War strategy series and later projects like Alien: Isolation.

yeah, it's always annoying when Sega makes gems, but never a treasury out of them. Imagine if today we got a Viking game of Skarin living in Greece with his son.

Yes but the decision to shift their efforts to Alien: Isolation is proving to be the right choice since the game is a lot more succesful than Viking: Battle for Asgard.

True. That and, well, you can always play God of War: Ragnarok if you want such a game.
