Idris Elba had a lot of questions about Knuckles’ motivations in Sonic 2
The Suicide Squad actor is taking this seriously, says director Jeff Fowler

Quote
“You’ve got Sonic’s speed, you’ve got Knuckles’ super strength, and we just put them in an environment and let them go at it,” Fowler says.
“It’s like a little Captain America and Iron Man;
it just offers so much opportunity in terms of fight choreography and action.”

Having trouble signing in with Facebook there, but my take for their relationship is Admiration.
Reminds me of Starline in IDWComic.
I think they're kinda the same on their admiration of Eggman.
Stone could be Starline of the movie,
become the next bad guy after Robotnik.

Really? I mean, Starline still admires Dr. Robotnik tenacity but even he has had enough of his crud to rebel against him. Agent Stone doesn't seem to have the scientific know-how  for such pursuits and he reminds me more of a loyal puppy. Even with Dr. Robotnik talking crud to him he blindly admires and follows. It's kinda like the making of a toxic relationship.

Everybody has a limit.
Once your blind admiration hit a certain point,
it will turn into ... something else.
Love, hate, betrayal, anger, desperation, or imitation.

It's why one of my ideas for a Sega Cinematic Universe is have Agent Stone find his own business in manufacturing cutting-edge technology from Dr. Robotnik's left over tech... But him as a barrista is also nice.

All the more reason why I wonder if he like-like Dr. Robotnik.

We know it's more than like..
Whether it's adoration, admiration, idolization, or love... only the director knows...

It's cool and all but aren'tYule Log shows often play casual festive music? I mean could at least play Saturn's Diamond Dust.

I did consider making my own Sonic Yule Log video but it's hard to imagine a Sonic aesthetic fireplace.

Saturn's Diamond Dust is made by Richard Jacques, right?
I think now the departement who in charged in Youtube videos tend to avoid using his song,
in order not to anger him again like he did with Tee Lopes.

I'm derailing so we can talk about it over here if you want.
Just saying Nickelodeon could of at least put a bit more effort into this Yule Log even if they only have so much Paramount resources to work with. Like, I dunno ask Jon Batiste to compose piano pieces of zone themes from Sonic 2.

Themes from Sonic 2 (and Sonic 1) aren't belong to SEGA.
They're belong to Dreams Come True and they'll need someone in Japan at least to contact them from royalties and such and it'll take time (and more budget).
I think they just want the easy way.
