I think I've read an interview where Jim Carey was asked about Sonic 3 and he answered that he might heavily consider to return if the team could make Robotnik different from Sonic 2.
Like making Robotnik fat (like how he looks in the game) or may be make Robotnik an AI where Stone serves the AI (this way Jim Carey could just lent his voice if he's too busy).

MAking him into an AI would be interesting given that's sorta what happened to pre-SGW Robotnik.

In the comic, r. Robotnik straight up dies but a roboticized Robotnik from another universe takes over his position. This Robo-Robotnik dies but his mind is uploaded into the Eggman body and he takes up the Eggman moniker. Then stuff happens where he is de-roboticized but still keeps the Eggman body, just organic now.

But I like the idea of Jim Carrey looking more like Dr. Robotnik in every movie.

Considering that he ever played the fat Grynch, so I guess being a fat Eggman is no problem for him, he even wanted it.

Here's what he thought about fat Eggman :

"Honestly, I've been lobbying for the fat eggman, the big egg man, you know, kind of thing for a while but apparently they wanted to show the audience how imperfect my actual body is so they… I've done that now so you never know but there's so much fun with the look of this character you know? I really wanted to start veering toward and I lobbied hard toward like let's do the guy that they're used to seeing. That moustache is an outward manifestation of ego. He shaves his head on the mushroom planet because that's loser hair that the hair that lost the battle, man, you got to get rid of that."

The Tragic Story Behind The Man Who Helped Create Tetris That wasn't Adapted into the Movie

Quote
Pokhilko was a close friend of Pajitnov's, and when he was shown the concept of Tetris, he convinced Pajitnov that it would make a perfect video game.
Pokhilko helped shape the final product and, post-launch, used the puzzler to conduct clinical psychological experiments.
While Pajitnov continues to live off the fame of his most famous creation, Pokhilko has faded into history.
On the night of September 21st, 1998, Pokhilko used a hammer and hunting knife to murder his wife Elena while she slept.
He then killed his 12-year-old son Peter using the same tools.
Pokhilko then slit his own throat with the knife and was found by the police on the floor of his son's bedroom.
A note was discovered at the scene, the contents of which were not disclosed until 1999. It read:
"I've been eaten alive. Vladimir. Just remember that I am exist. The devil."

"I Never Did That, But I Did Something Just As Stupid" - Henk Rogers On Apple's Tetris Movie

Quote
"I really wanted to get them to get the feeling of the Soviet Union across," says Rogers.
"Because it is kind of like going to North Korea today and sneaking into a ministry. You could easily end up in prison or breaking some law. And the people in the ministry and Alexey were all breaking laws by talking to me, so under those conditions, all of us are breaking laws and somehow, I managed to escape without ending up in a Gulag. I think that was brilliant the way they got it across.
Of course, they’re squeezing a year and a half of my life into two hours, so they have to speed things up a lot. It was like watching my life in fast forward."

Is there any fresh news on Streets of Rage, Sonic 3 & Knuckles TV series?

I like the idea that in the next movie Dr. Robotnik becomes obese (Carrey in a fat suit) because of his losses in Sonic. The same way that when a normal human gets hung up on a failure and continue to fail to pass that life-obstacle they continue to get unhealthy and worse.

I remember in one proposal from Jim Carrey he figured he could be fat Eggman by the second movie under the explanation that Robotnik is allergic to mushrooms, that his bloated appearance is an allergic reaction that became permanent from living on nothing but mushrooms.

In my own ideas for an original Sonic movie, a scene in mind where my version of Dr. Robotnik took a face-full of chaos energy from the red Chaos Emerald that mutated his eyes, thus why he wears glasses to cover up his mutation.

Unfortunately there is still nothing new about Streets of Rage, Sonic 3 & Knuckles TV series.

Yes, I like your first idea compared to mushroom one.
If Thor (a freaking god) could become obese in Avengers: Endgame due to depression, why can't Eggman?

Though I'd prefer an arrogant Eggman more than the depressed one, it still isn't a bad idea.

His fat appearance could be caused from giving up how he cares about himself and go all out on defeating the hedgehog. Like how obsession and addiction are similar.

Yeah, both obsession and addiction sometimes leads to unhealthy life style such lack of sleep and unhealthy instant food.
