How Sonic 3 went bigger with Shadow's origin story and 2 Jim Carreys: 'Everything is pumped up'

Quote
Continuing the tradition set by the previous two films, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (in theaters Dec. 20) will also set the stage for a potential fourth movie to introduce another video game character after Tails and now Shadow.
Of course, don't expect Fowler to give up the goods just yet.
"It's fun to see the fan debates online about who's coming up next, who's going to be teased at the end of the film," he says. "We have a lot of the same conversations. We've all got our favorites on the filmmaking side, and we're all making great cases for 'it should be this one or that one.' It is fun to keep that anticipation. This movie is no different in terms of ..."

That's why the movie was different, it uses serious approach so most of the silliness and charms from the games were gone..
The series its self is not bad, it's just too different compared to the game.
Kiryu is okay (he's still the cool calm confident guy and could easily beat a lot of people like in the game).
Majima is good (he's as crazy as in the game).
Nishiki on the other hand is too different.
Perhaps it would've been best to keep some of the exaggeration in it? Like the burning aura seen in combat or the awesome heat moves?
Heck, referencing some heat moves would be awesome.

FlixPatrol. It's daily updated.
Oh good. If it was Primes own ratings, I'd call bullshit. But it’s good it's neutral party.

Kiryu alone could beat a lot of people by himself is already an exaggeration.
But sadly there are only few of those scenes so I don't think adding those burning aura kind of thing would necessary.
The series are mostly drama, dialogues, chase scene, and 1 on 1 unbalanced fighting.

I saw the middle one, I didn't know if it was edited or not.

Probably edited since many meme showed up where they insert the blank space in that pic.

I believe it's a monster doll / plush. Behind him there's also a monster toy with many eyes.

I'll admit, I'm not that much of a fan of the Yakuza series in general. I still haven't finished Yakuza 0. But one thing I do like about the series is how zaney it gets at time. If this TV series has none of that, doesn't seem my cuppa tea.

It does look like a meme template.

Maybe. I see teddy bears, but can't clearly see the other things. It's scenery like this I comb over for Sega references.

All I can do is wait until my local cinema airs it, which might be weeks after the release date. I dunno when the movie will be released in UK.

Weren't both shows criticized for straying away from source materials?

I don't think it's reference something but it looks like a monster from Toejam and Earl  or Aaahh!!! Real Monsters.
Also the monster toy with many eyes behind them ... looks like a boss from Altered Beast.

Accordint to X, it will release in the UK a day later after United States (December 20, 2024) so ... on December 21.

Yes, but just because they are different from the source material doesn't mean they are bad.
Thanos in MCU for example.
In MCU he's a guy with a clear purpose (solving overpopulation and limited resources issues) while in the comic he's sometimes depicted as a mad god's doing whatever he likes (conquer the universe, trying to please 'Death', messing up with someone, making himself omnipotent, etc). They are different but they are cool on their own way.

I guess we'll get a good look once it hits theatres.

Ah I see.
Still, not all cinema's will have it straight away and with Christmas, I may only get to see it somewhen after Christmas.

I suppose so. Only guy I know who could finger-snap while wearing a gauntlet.

I'm sure you're already guess how the story will go so you don't have to worry about spoiler.
Other than the spoiler of who's gonna show up in the post-end credit.

I suppose so. Only guy I know who could finger-snap while wearing a gauntlet.

He didn't have to do the finger-snap to use the gauntlet in the comic version.
Finger-snapping was added in the movie to give it a dramatic and memorable effect (and it worked).

But of course there's fan who wasn't satisfied and said that Thanos motivation should be to get Death's attention just like in the comic.
Actually no, he has multiple motivations to use infinity gauntlet in the comics and pleasing Death is just only one of them.
His motivation in the movie was still taken from comic eventhough the movie kinda did it better (removing its connection with Death).

The shippers will be pleased.

Even with playing Sonic Adventure 2 quite a few times, the trailers haven't spoiled too much for me to keep me guessing what will happen. Especially given how the movies are a loose adaption to the games. For example, Gerald being alive!

I suppose introducing "Death" in the MCU would've been a confusing concept without proper explanation why in the films.
If I recall, Thanos isn't the only pet of Death herself but also Deadpool as well.
The shippers will be pleased.
I have grown fond of Stobotnik.
