Free public screening of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 from WCCD

WCCCD, Wayne County Community College District in Michigan, announces the continuation of its Summer Movie Fest with a free public screening of Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
The indoor event takes place on July 23, 2026, at 6pm at the Downriver Campus and is open to the public with no admission fee.

Playing devil's advocate here ... in Boom and in the movie it's just a combat strategy where Shadow views Tails as the "support" member of Team Sonic. Because Tails possesses a high IQ, flight capabilities, and creates gadgets, he is an essential asset. Shadow takes him out first to neutralize the biggest strategic threat. In Sonic X, to be fair Tails tried to attack him first. Even if it's to protect Cosmo, an attack is still an attack.

With their emotional and narrative similarities, you know ... Tails losing Cosmo and Shadow losing Maria, Shadow should've been softer to him.
Or may be then again because they did handle their grief differently (Shadow initially let his grief over Maria warp into a quest for vengeance fueled by manipulated memories of her final wish while Tails, despite being heartbroken and traumatized, ultimately processes his grief with a healthier coping system, honoring Cosmo's memory by staying strong rather than seeking destructive revenge) made Shadow feel annoyed at Tails and it's his way of saying "Be angrier, man!"

Universal Acquires Rights to 10 Atari Games to be Adapted into Movies

Universal now has the rights to adapt 10 classic Atari video games, including some true classics. The games include Adventure, Asteroids, Berzerk, Breakout, Centipede, Crystal Castles, Millipede, Missile Command, Pong, and Yars’ Revenge.

In fact, he reminds me of my second eldest brother. As the youngest, I love all my brothers fairly, but to him, it feels like I can only be neutral with him, y'know? It's why I don't get why Shadow the Hedgehog is second-popular to Sonic himself when Shadow... is a dick half the time.

It's the "Cool Rival" Trope.
And it only worked because Sonic was there too.
A fast and powerful rival who is unimpressed by the hero, Sonic, and giving the hero such a hard time more than rather than just a standard obstacle ... making him look cooler than the hero himself.
Same with Vegeta from Dragon Ball, Sasuke from Naruto, Darth Vader from Star Wars, or Sephiroth from FFVII.
It won't work as much if he's alone in story.
