Just picked up a Genesis Mk1601 that didn’t come with the ac power cord. Does anyone have recommendations on a good aftermarket cord I can get thats appropriate for the console?

Watch the input and output.
Input is 120V AC 60Hz 15W and output is 9V 1A, so any adapter from Amazon or ebay that provides that is fine.

I suggest the Triad WAU090-1200, a high-quality and modern
Chill Guy Clicker
replacement. You can also explore Retro-bit or Hyperkin for dependable third-party adapters.

Is it safe to use a modern universal power supply for this console?
Geometry Dash
Or should I stick to Sega-branded or retro gaming-specific replacements?

If you have the means and know about adapter output, you can use a high-quality DC 9 V 1 A (center negative) power supply and add extra wire if you want; but you still need to pay attention to the polarity

and stability of the power supply.
