But, it's times like this I wish Sega World UK was still a thing. My inner child is still upset it never got to go.

Well, we never got any Sega World Indonesia here so there's nothing that I miss.
Not really though.
I do miss arcade centers which's full of SEGA arcade games like Space Harriers, Virtua Fighter, Hang-On, and Daytona USA.

Maybe someday Sega will get second wind, but I believe the reason why Sony and Nintendo get theme parks and markets is because they're not just video game producers. They make consoles and hardware. Sega no longer does that.

Square Enix doesn't make make consoles and hardware too but they have Dragon Quest Island Theme Park.

I didn't know that. I figured Final Fantasy would be their prefered franchise, but I guess Dragon Quest is more marketable.

Unlike the rest of the world, in Japan Dragon Quest is more popular than Final Fantasy.
Not saying Final Fantasy isn't popular though, it is, it even does have its own cafe.

Well, Sonic has pop-up cafe too sometimes but usually it's in western.
In Japan, Puyo Puyo or Yakuza pop-up cafe was more frequent than Sonic one.

Also there used to be a Final Fantasy XR ride in Japan but not anymore.
