I'll be so fucking excited if Ryan is back at voicing Sonic. Sonic games only went bad after he left.

Funny thing: I didn't fully hear an American VA voicing Sonic for a game until I played Unleashed. SA1 and SA2 I played with the Japanese on (later on I played bits and pieces in English), Heroes I played with my XBOX set to Japanese and after that I didn't play any of the main series games until Unleashed released. Even then, I played the PS2 version all the way through in Japanese and played half of the 360 version in English.

So really, Jun'ichi Kanemaru has always been the voice of Sonic to me. >_<

If new VA is this franchise changing news, I wouldn't mind. It could actually be a good thing.

Jason allthough he's been sonic's VA for pretty long has done a Average to bad job imo.

They're removing the homing attack from the games.

*quietly leaves*

I'm with Orta, but the removal may be partial.

Well, I was just joking. ^

If they are changing voice actors I wouldn't mind they got rid of them all together. I would like a silent Sonic.

As of now, all signs are pointing to Jason G. being the only one leaving (if the rumor is true).

Sharky totally called this one in terms of fan reactions: Sonic Stadium are going crazy, SEGAbits is "Meh... Oh look, Virtua Fighter 5 videos!"

Japanese voice acting is better than American voice acting, so you weren't missing out on much. ^__^

Yup! New VAs for Sonic and Tails. Eggman remains unchanged.

Hah, Tails voice actress is certainly the eyecatcher, hope the new lot have at least good scripts to show their talents.

Interesting that so many MADWORLD staff are now in the Sonic games (two VAs and two writers)

Examples:

Roger Craig Smith (Sonic) http://www.rogercraigsmith.com/media/Ro ... mation.mp3

Kate Higgins (Tails) http://katehiggins.com/voiceover/Animation.mp3

For Roger, the first sample is very Sonic-like. For Kate, that second voice is very Tails-ish. Works for me!

I'm soooooo glad Tails isn't going to sound like a little girl anymore. His voice was the only 4kids voice that I never got used to. Hate it.

And yay! Mike Pollock stays! 8-)  He's great.
