Sega has closed down its casino and poker offerings less than a year after they were launched. Sega’s casino site went live in March this year, along with a poker room. Both were powered by Playtech. Customers logging onto Sega casino were told to withdraw their funds before it is shut down, with any uncleared amounts returned via the depositing method on 15 September. Michael Hanson, PR manager for Sega, told eGaming Review earlier this year that the company saw the partnership as “an opportunity to grow”, and the plan was to launch more egaming products under the partnership deal. Playtech’s online casino portfolio offered 125 games, including slots and blackjack, with themed SEGA games such as Virtua Fighter and the House of the Dead offered on the Sega casino site. Sega’s casino and poker offerings were licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. http://www.egrmagazine.com/news/589517/ ... ites.thtml
Good bye SEGA Casino, but I think nobody cared about it anyway...
I guess it just wasn't in the cards for them.
