If SEGA can survive the bomb that was Vanquish and still manage to make a profit in that division, then next quarter is going to be quite impressive for them, Total War, Valkyria Chronicles 3 and Yakuza: Of the End seem likely to rake them in big money.

850,000 units is not bombing. Vanquish is on its way to being a million-seller.

These are shipped numbers.

I'm really happy to see the home business making profit, and so are all the other categories, very good news. Go SEGA!

Oh, I should add this:

SEGA needs a system where you buy games and in return redeem points for prizes. Sorta like Disney Rewards Club or Capcom's old club (I think they had one). I'd love to redeem SASASR, Vanquish, Bayonetta, Free Riders points for a shirt or poster or something.

Amazing news... REALLY HAPPY to see this.

Also, happy to see Vanquish shipped so many... This may well mean we get a sequal and as much as I hate to admit it if they did one and added a Multiplayer option even co-op it would sell a lot better.

Those are shipped numbers, Vanquish would be lucky to see another shipment. In fact it would be lucky if half of that shipment was sold through to consumers.

But it's still a sale on Segas end.

Yes, it is, but after all the money they've invested and the game's storyline, I'm sure they were expecting a sequel. This is probably not going to be the case anytime soon thanks to how bad it's bombed at retail.
