Import Saturn Games

I have a US Saturn, and an action replay for playing import games.  I'm considering getting some Import capcom fighting games.  Some of them run smoother with the 4MB ram cart, and I think some require it.  So what is the best way to manage this?  is it possible to swap the action replay for the ram cart mid-game?  Do I need to get a mod chip or a Japanese Saturn?

I thought the "action replay" had the option to play 4MB games.

Doesn't your action replay have 3 little switches in its back?

If that's true that's awesome! I'll check it out when I get home.  It says 4M <> 1M but there's no switch.

No its not possible to swap carts mid way through . You ever need to get the machine Switched ,  or get a Datel Action Replay 4M Auto Plus(from the likes of Play Asia ) You do not need to Mod the Saturn to play imports.
