I can understand the dislike of Golden Axe, though Ryan you misinterpreted mine and Aki's feelings for it, we were not mad at you for disliking it, but HOW you were saying it was bad annoyed us. Your point was that you just played Streets of Rage first, which is silly as you should be able to compare it separately being how much older it is. I used to dislike it too, but now it is one of my favorite SEGA IPs in a lot of ways.
What I love about Golden Axe is how deep it is on so many levels. The detail was stunning, the world was very creative, the way weapons worked was realistic with the use of everything from the tip, middle and hilt of the weapons, the characters are very diverse and creative (especially for the time), the setting is very dark but at the end of it all you find out it is a silly arcade game that some kids were playing - Always makes me smile.
I think conceptually that Golden Axe would be blowing minds if it came out now. The way how you must search the lands for giant beasts to cross rivers and gorges to reach the Death=Adder, or how he was formed by a group of demonic snakes. Even something like just setting up camp when the sun drops would just be so awesome.
Anyone who is not really a fan of the series should check out Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death=Adder on MAME. I guarantee you will be into that if you liked Streets of Rage in comparison. It is the true sequel.

As for a major SEGA series I do not like?
I do not like the way Valkyria Chronicles is progressing and I absolutely hate Jet Set Radio. I like the music and general style, but not the gameplay, level design or how "Slow" and strange the game gets so much. Strange, because I really like the sequel a lot. It especially bugs me when people think Jet Set Radio stuff is basically what all SEGA games should be like.
I could give my reasons and stuff, but I do not think it matters much. Especially after how crazy Storm's views on Skies of Arcadia are. Bad graphics? LOLWUT
