Whilst were on the subject of Nintendo fans, I was banned from the official Nintendo forums back when they existed for saying Damn... yeah damn...

The next thing I know five of them jumped me and were going
'I'm PMing the admins!' so I was banned with in about 3 hours of signing up.

I also got kicked from the GoNintendo IRC Chatroom for saying I like Sega games more then Nintnedo games.

Oh and the threads on that forum were ALWAYS a good laugh:

I can understand the dislike of Golden Axe, though Ryan you misinterpreted mine and Aki's feelings for it, we were not mad at you for disliking it, but HOW you were saying it was bad annoyed us. Your point was that you just played Streets of Rage first, which is silly as you should be able to compare it separately being how much older it is. I used to dislike it too, but now it is one of my favorite SEGA IPs in a lot of ways.

I understand your feelings although just to clear up. I played Golden Axe before Streets of Rage. Actually GA and Sonic 1 were the first Sega games I ever played.

You're argument was that, I was comparing GA to SoR2 and there was a long gap between these games release dates. But my reply was that for me, because I played them very close togeather so to me, as a child it was really one or the other and I much prefered SoR2 and even today SoR2 stood the test of time and is great fun to play, GA feels dated and doesn't hold my interest at all.

Bayonetta: Bleh. Overrated combat system, annoying characters, long load times, irritating music. Nah thanks.  8-)

Overrated combat system I have to disagree with. I found it to be incredibly fun and versatile, but to each his own. Annoying Characters comes down to personal taste. Long loading I have no idea what you are talking about, but irritating music???

How can you say anything bad about music that contains 'Fly me to the moon', and remixes of Afterburner and Splash Wave!?

Also, you are probably right about NiGHTS 2, I think I didn't mind it much back when it first came out either. I always hated the cut-scenes and the platforming, but the flying was okay. The more I look back on it though, the worse it seems.

Shenmue.

Awful voice acting, too many loading screens, tedious missions, open world was very restricted, NO ENDING, frivolous collectibles.

I literally wrote up a post arguing this then went back and saw this, which I missed the first time around because after reading the first sentence I had already hit quote, smooth.

hahaha Mademan I'm pretty sure we've had this exact discussion in the past.  8-) I think so, anyway. If not it was with someone else.

Fly Me to the Moon was amusing the 1st time it was played....by around the 20th time I got kinda tired of it.  :x

Yeah, and using the Virtua Fighter combat engine? Worst 3D fighting game ever.

@-nSega54-

I kinda know where you're getting at. The "plot" is all over the place, the whole smutty b-movie porn feel of Bayonetta can rub people the wrong way, the god-awful dialogue just waiting to turn into an Internet meme. And frankly a lot of the trailers made the game look like a run-of-the-mill action game, when in fact it's was more like an R-rated Super Mario Galaxy.

This might shock people, but I loved 90% of Vanquish, but towards the end, I felt I got slapped in the face.

spoilers:

[spoiler:2inh6m54]Do you mean because of the betrayal? Why do you feel like you got slapped in the face? You mean it was just too obvious of a plot twist? The games' plot is totally corny, that was intentional. Mikami has a sense of humor like that.

Also Bayonetta has intentionally corny dialog. You should watch the commentary videos that Kamiya just posted.[/spoiler:2inh6m54]

Maybe I'm bias because Fly me to the Moon is my favourite song (any version I've heard of it, I've liked).

The story of Vanquish was just completely awful, whereas Bayonetta was at least interesting and had a conclusion. Still a good game regardless, I guess.

But anyways, this is what I love about SEGA. Just how crazy diverse they are. It is not a big deal if I do not like Jet Set or Sharky does not like Ecco or Storm is completely insane. Not everyone is going to like the same games, which is why I can see why people do not like Nintendo, or Square-Enix, Ubisoft, or Namco or the million other publishers with completely predictable releases. Though, I still like all of those publishers too in one way or another.

GAMES ARE FUN.
