It still a waste of good marketing. Why stoke audience/consumers hopes up just to dash it all?
It served its original purpose.
SEGA of Japan was happy with the sales result.
The target audience / market target (Japanese gamers) was happy with GG Micro.
The unhappy ones were just the oversea gamers which were not supposed to have anything to do with it.
I still blame the gamezines who blew it out of proportion and made clickbait titles about it.
I'm getting Digimon/Monster Rancher vibes from it.
It reminded more of Mischief Makers for Nintendo 64.
