True. But you'd think Hong Kong would have libraries. I mean, I tried comparing SHenmue II map with Google map and couldn't find a propper allignment but I bet there could of been a library somewhere and somewhen back then.

If the library books were in Cantonese or Chinese, Ryo would still having trouble since he's only beginning to learn the language.

I'm sure librarians in foreign countries are used to tourists who have difficulty reading their language.
