Plus, the show is made by the same people who made Star Trek: Lower Decks, an animated comedy of Star Trek, a franchise that take it's sci-fi as serious drama, and Lower Decks was beloved. And just because Star Trek: Lower Decks was an animated comedy, didn't mean it couldn't be sincere and deep when it needed to be.

It's why I want to give Golden Axe a chance! It may not be the kind of entertainment I want from Golden Axe (live-action, on par with Conan's movie) but it may still be good.

Having a girlboss character is okay if they don't downgrade other character to do so.
In some Facebook groups that I joined, a screenshot of this scene alone already made fans mad and think that they downgrade Ax in order to do that.



Some compared it to Masters of the Universe: Revelation (2021), which in the first episode they kill off both He-Man and Skeletor, to make way for Teela as a main character. The legacy fans disliked the dramatic changes to Teela's personality, depicting her as bitter, emotionally raw, and estranged from her old allies which clashed with her classic 1980s portrayal.

there's lot of AI slop of Golden Axe on YouTube... which I guess, only goes to show how much people want a live-action Golden Axe film.

Having a girlboss character is okay if they don't downgrade other character to do so.

Even more than Golden Axe AI, but I guess it's understandable since the sequel (SOR4) was released not a long ago so people knows more about SOR than other Mega Drive franchises.
