Gamer Remakes SEGA’s Golden Axe Inside DOOM,
and You Can Play the FPS Mod Now

Quote
Currently, only a pre-alpha build of the mod is available to the public, which includes the first stage of the game, called ‘Village Outskirts’.
The original Golden Axe game doesn’t use any firearms or long-range weapons, so this mod keeps it that way, but adds a few jump-attacks, spinning attacks and alternate-fire kicks.

It's why if Sega ever decided to make a Golden Axe movie I'd rather it be the spiritual successor to Conan the Barbarian.

Something like this then?  ::)

I would write out my fan cast for a Golden Axe movie. In fact I did, forgot I ran out of time and lost all I've written. So I can't be bothered to write it all out again.
Karen Gillan for Tyris Flare, Andreas Cahling for Gilias Thunderhead, forgot who I chosen for Ax Battler, Dwayne Johnson for Death=Adder.

And yes, I would purposely age my movie like what Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino did for their Grindhouse films. But I would make my movie look more like Conan's 1982 movie in age while still retaining it's HD quality.

I had a spot for 80's and classic movies since I grew up with them, so I like your pitch.
I kinda hate Ben Hur and Clash of Titan remake.
I still think the originals were better.

I hate Conan the Barbarian remake.

I think what made the oldies better was because while they had action scenes, they were not trying to be EPIC. They were not trying to be badass! They were not trying to be Hollywood blockbusters! Or maybe they were but at the time but still, they were movies that were mostly about the journey than the action.

1982 Conan the Barbarian was that warm spot between what makes it a classic and what makes it a blockbuster. It had badass action scenes expected of modern blockbusters of the time, but it paced itself the right way so that we could enjoy the journey of the adventure along the way. It didn't "BEHOLD! THE CHITY OF WHATEVER!", Instead we got scenes of them casually passing through such cities and magnificent locations that made us appreciate them more better.

That's why if I ever made a Golden Axe movie, I'd want it to be the spiritual successor to 1982 Conan the Barbarian.

Spiritual successor to 1982 Conan the Barbarian's Golden Axe is the one that I'd glady to support.

Happy 29 Years Anniversary for Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder !

Quote
Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder made its way to the Japanese arcades 29 years ago this month, featuring unique characters like Goah the giant and Dora the centaur!

Have you played this classic brawler in the arcades or on the Astro City Mini?

I'll add it to the list of teasers I'll probably never make. But yes if Sega does ever decides to expand the Sonic movies into a Sega CInematic Universe, I hope they will experiment in different cinematography and camera filters for each game adaption than just... well, Conan the Barbarian remake.

Khinsider Has Removed 500+ Albums Related to Sega

Quote
"Segapocalypse!
Wave Master, the company that manages Sega's music, has contacted me and asked me to remove lots of albums related to Sega.
At the end of the day, over 500 albums were removed, including Sonic, OutRun, and others.
Unfortunately, this even included fan made compilation albums for games that have no commercial releases, which, quite frankly, makes absolutely no sense.
If you were wondering why some albums have disappeared on the site, this is why."
