The Sonic World feature is also highly-packed with aesthetic and nostalgia for Classic Sonic.
Yeah, it's also showing Sonic OVA ad. My Sonic Jam game was Japan version though, did they change the Sonic OVA ad into Sonic TV series and SatAM ads in the west version or still Sonic OVA?
Yeah, but I still wouldn't hype up the anniversary around it.
This game wasn't meant as a 30th anniversary game, it's just a coincidence that it's released in 2026 so the marketing team added it into the 30th anniversary campaign.
Because by that logic, if it's seen only by the year it's released, Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice (the only Sonic game that was released in 2016, not counting Olympic series) will be the 20th anniversary game.

Oh, I thought Digimon was older than Pokémon.
But... Megami Tensei! That's technically a game about collecting monsters and battling them! And that came out in 1987!

And didn't Dragon Quest V (1992) also had a monster recruitment mechanic?
Megami Tensei series is a mature game, not for all ages, different target market.
Some Dragon Quest and Lufia games did have a monster recruitment mechanic, but those franchise are already good enough they would still sell even without it.
I'm not surprised Sonifure is doing well. they look like Hello Kitty characters.
Okay, now I understand why Sonic Pico Park is a full game instead just a DLC for Pico Park, they tried to make Sonifure and Hello Kitty fans to play Sonic games. With those chibi design, they are the main target market.

They're not sold in my area. Besides, I was a fan. I pretty much lost track of the story, if there is even still one, after one character after another was introduced. And I dunno if all of them had hero Trailers.
But, one thing I do like about Overwatch, is that it proves you don't need a big budget for cinematic masterpiece. I bet the Warcraft movie would've been just as good as well as saved money, if the animation studio behind Overwatch made the movie.

Thing that I can't understand that even though Warcraft movie was a box-office failure in the United States but it was a massive hit in China.
I guess every country has a different taste.
Oh wow! It's ready to play? Cool!
Though, I hope KumaPauZ will rename the project soon. I mean, it's no longer a project now that it's near it's finished state. And given what the game was originally called, I hope he will rename it "Sonic and the Secret Rings: Reignition" or something like that.
I don't know. I think Project Reignition still sounds cool to my ears, I like it.
