Most romcom anime, even with succubus in it, don't have sex scenes or anything that explores sexual theme because it would cause they couldn't be aired in Japanese TV during prime time.
We'd be lucky if they even got to kiss in season 1.
Still depict sucubbi in harmless depiction.

Yeah, just like most vampires in the romcom anime/manga.
Change the genre into a Shounen or Action and they'll have their personality far from harmless.

The only time it's not a monster girl or handsome horror is when it's a genuine horror anime.

I think Dracula is always portrayed as a handsome guy no matter what the genre is.

Depends on your definition of handsome.

His description from Bram Stoker's book is that of an older gentleman, white moustache (perhaps bushy) and white hair. Red piercing eyes. Christopher Lee in 1969 Dracula had a rather close resemblance to the book version.

I imagine book-Dracula would still appear scary in a "scary old man" sort of way with a bit of dangerous that anyone with the right sense can pick up on.

There is also the matter of when a monster should look scary or not. For example, That 2017 Mummy movie no one liked, I believe it took a bit of the fear out of the monster making her a pretty woman. Granted the Mummy from the 1999 film was played by handsome Arnold Vosloo, but the Mummy started out as a decrepit, dried yet still animated corpse that had to collect body parts and gradually restore his body, that and the film was more action-adventure than horror.

Okay, that's true, the original Stoker's Dracula was intended to embody foreign fear, corruption, and old-world decay, not charm.
But in some movies and video games they're tring to add more selling points so they 'changed' him.
Vlad III the 15th-century Romanian ruler (the name Dracula was inspired by), also known as Vlad the Impaler or Vlad Draculea (meaning "Son of the Dragon"), was more scary and menacing than handsome.
It was his brother, Radu the Handsome (Radu cel Frumos), who's known notoriously handsome, providing a stark contrast to Vlad’s fierce and intense look.

Movie adaptions tend to make some leaps from the books.

For example, I read heard the audiobook of Bram Stoker's Dracula and I thought, from all the movie adaptions I watched, none of them captivate the real charm and suspence of the original book! Especially scenes that never seem to made it to the movies. Like Jonathans carriage ride with the flames.
It made me question why no one has made a full-cast audiobook of it! The way it's told through letters, journal entries and newsclippings than just a standard book narrative makes it perfect for that!

But, as I tried to listen to Mary Shelly's Frankenstein... I quit half way through the book. Each chapter was mostly heavy context about characters or locations before taking a few short steps to the next part of the story. The movies really trimmed down the fat of the book and get straight to what we want to see.
Ironically, for a book so heavy in explanation, it mostly glosses over how Victor brought the monster to life. The whole lightning storm and "IT'S ALIVE!" thing was Universal Picture's idea.

So it wasn't just me.
Movie adaptations from books (novel, not comic book or manga) that I've read are always disappointing to me, even kids book like The Wizard of Oz or popular book like Around the World in Eighty Days. They always fell different and off to me.

But I guess it's unavoidable since they cannot replicate the deep character development, internal monologue, and vast world-building of a book within a less tahn 2-hour runtime.
Novel books can explore a character's inner thoughts and emotional depth in detail, whereas movies must translate this through action or dialogue, which often feels less profound and different what I had in mind.

You'd be surprised how common "Not as good as the books" is for movie adaptions. Harry Potter film series maybe popular, but a lot of Potter fans still prefer the books.

At least J.K. Rowling didn't put a dark filter over her Half-Blood Prince or Deathly Hallows books.

But still seeing favorite line in the book's being spoken in the movie is kinda cool if they're done right.

"You dare use my own spells against me, Potter?"
