Actually this gen, most Sega RPGs have performed strongly on the PSP than the other platforms.

I hope this is true!
Not that I doubt you, but the source would be nice. =x

I rechecked, the source taken by Gamasutra.com is Amazon.co.jp, so isn't a "complete" data; thanks for the request for pointing this Sharky ;-)

Sega said on Twitter that Valkyria 3 had the best first day sales ever on the series.

 Valkyria 2 first week: 101,282

Shining Hearts sold till now more than 160k copies UMD-version; not counting the DL version.

Let's wait & see who will win this "battle" ;p

Both are made by Sega CS 3.

Also, Kingdom Conquest is number 1 in Japan and number 1 in the world. Many people don't knows that, but this title was made by Sega CS 1.

Sega CS 1 is proud to build and own an automatic debugger tool.

I have been trying to find out who developed 'Kingdom Conquest' for ages now! For some reason I thought it was being developed in Korea or something as it seemed that Sega America were reluctant to say who was developing.

From what I have heard the game is pretty fun and addictive and I see quite a few people talking about it at the Sega forums.

Also, fantastic to see VC3 doing so well... Great series.

I suppose it is good to see Shining Force games selling well, but I'm really not a fan of the new direction at all... I think Shining Force 2 and 3 will be the series highlight for me.

It's not yet official, just a rumor, but seems that Sega has already shipped 400,000 units of PHANTASY STAR PORTABLE 2 INFINITY.

Without any doubt, Phantasy Star series is now the most successful Sega title EVER!

 Football Manager sells more? Hmm...

Football Manager 2011 had shipped 690,000 at the end of December and it's still selling in the British charts, so yes, that could be a larger series.

Then we have Sonic the Hedgehog, with Sonic Colours doing 1.85 million, no doubt it's lifetime sales should go over 3 million.

Finally we have Yakuza, which is a tricky one because they really are very similar sales now, with only about 20,000 units difference or so between the two series, at least in Japan.

Of course we have Total War too, but I am not too sure how much that series sells.

But that's overall sales Aki, not in europe/UK specific. Europe managed to build on their successes that's for sure while america and japan went down a bit. But maybe that could be down to the absence of a few key titles at least in Japan's case. If PHANTASY STAR gained those sales and RGG THE END does strongly and whatever next from the LET'S MAKE games who knows it could be more close next year. But then the final report for this year hasn't come out yet.

Yes and no, not such a huge drop when you look at how the other games have dropped to similar numbers. Most Japanese games seem to drop like this.
