Yukawa Moto Senmu no Otakara Sagashi - English Translation Patch

Quote
Former Managing Director Hidekazu Yukawa has lost his promotional Dreamcast material that he can’t possibly show to the public! It’s up to the player, unnamed Sega fan, to help him and search for his missing items! For some unknown reason, they’ve been split into six parts each, so here’s a shovel and good luck!!

Yukawa’s Treasure Hunt was a promotional game near the Dreamcast’s launch where players who solved a weekly puzzle between March 20th, 1999 and April 11th, 1999 could submit their victory online and be entered into a raffle. That raffle has long ended, so the servers do not work, but the game itself stands as an interesting piece of history.

The game is fully playable in English, including the VMU minigame, though a few menu times are missing translations. The README has a short glossary to reference.

Seaman is back, introducing Seaman ASMR

Quote
While on the surface a Seaman ASMR promotion seems a bit odd, considering how long the franchise has been dormant, Seaman was actually the highest selling Dreamcast game in the region.
I’d assume Mt. Rainier would want to cash in on fans that grew up with the game. I’m personally ...

Yeah, Uber is something that wasn't existing back then
It would be nice to put them in the movie / new game,
of course unless the setting of the movie / new game is still in 90s.
It would give Crazy Taxi more to do than just pick up and transport passengers.

I always like how they sound like George Takei.

But we all know George Takei was never in Sega game... except Yakuza.

The ad could be like...

Pick up and transport passengers, that's what normal Taxi do...
But Crazy Taxi is different!

Was it coincidence or were they copying his style?

Yep. Simpsons Hit & Run maybe a knock-off of Crazy Taxi but it had good idea that Crazy Taxi didn't do. If a new Crazy Taxi game had passengers that give objectives other than drop-off points it would certainly make the game more crazy.

Like, imagine if one of your passengers was one of these guys and they tell you to find a specific phone box, parked car or other street-side object and to ram it to cause an explosion... and depending on how fast you get to the target and how quick to make it explode they will give you the wage for it.
Or if one of your passengers is a police officer and they say "Follow that car!" and you must tail them to a certain location or something like that.
Or passengers who simply ask you to do stunts for them or jump off ramps and such and will pay if they're satisfied.

These kind of passengers can take up a third of regular passengers who want to go somewhere.

Oh my!

Yes, that's gonna be interesing, unique passengers with strange requests.
Just like on Elite Beat Agents,
then the story could be about the clients/passengers, not about the agents/taxi drivers.

Yep, pretty much. And later chapters can have the city around you become more crazy due to the results of your passengers requests.

City of Aliens !!!
That would be out of line I know, but with "Crazy" title,
it's okay for the game to be crazy.
Ulala could also become one of the passengers.

You drive up to a passenger who turns out to be a grey alien wearing a hospital gown.

"Get me away from those black cars!"

Thus you must survive a high-speed chase throughout the city for a time limit and if you surpass the time limit without your taxi being pinned or destroyed the alien will give you a taxi fare.

So Get those coins out of your pocket, throw 'em in the machine, and let's get started!

Some passengers want you to do harm while others want you to do good. You only want a good pay so you're helpful to anyone.

Yes, make sense.
Could be added a hard mode too :
but if we helped too many bad guys, police will start chasing after us too.
