You mean 2001, not 2021?
Oh yeah, 2001. Typo.
Wasn't VF4 running on the Naomi 2 which is like, four times the memory of the Dreamcast? Otherf than that, the Dreamcast still had Virtua Fighter 3tb. Even the PlayStation version had hardware limitations that lowered the polycount and lighting of the game.
Ouch. Then Dreamcast is really doomed. It had no way to compete with PS2.
As for Virtua Fighter 3tb, I remember I was dissapointed too. It's really downgrade compared to arcade version.
The hurtboxes got messed up to the point that throw attempts are even harder than they were in Arcade
Also, Sonic Heroes was released in 2005 well after 2001. But Sonic Generations regard it a "Dreamcast-era" game despite the game released for other consoles years after the Dreamcast was discontinued.
May be it's only applied to Sonic since they kinda try to start modern era with Sonic (2006) so the one that's released before that would be put into previous era.
Since for other games, I never heard SEGA put Super Monkey Ball, Shining Tears, or OutRun 2 into Dreamcast era.
