Propeller Arena is finally playable Online

Quote
After more than two decades of waiting, this game is finally playable online thanks to Flyinghead and Shuouma.
25 years ago, a game developed by SEGA AM2 was about to be released on Dreamcast. Sadly, a tragic event ended the project just days before its launch. The September 11, 2001 attacks condemned this future SEGA Hit with the unique name Propeller Arena.
SEGA then decided to cancel the project because one of the levels takes place in a fictional city that could recreate the World Trade Center attacks. It was too late for the blue hedgehog company to simply remove the problematic map and release a version of Propeller Arena without that level. The launch preparations were already too far along, with some rumors even suggesting that copies of the game had already been produced and were ready for distribution.
This Arcade-style double-A game, initially ...

Probably there won't ever be now.
When a translation team took over another team's project, usually it will discourage the one who's project taken over to continue.

No, probably it will only have one cake now ... with AI flavour.

Well, good for you if you could enjoy the cake.
I see many youtubers also don't mind with AI translation and streaming it right away when the patch was released.
Of course there will be anti-AI comments too in comment sections but so far they're still polite.
Better cake than no cake.

Yes. But while I have the patience of an oak tree, I still appreciate at least an estimate date of delivery. And if OG SGGG-translation team are now disheartened to continue their decades-long progress of translating now an AI did it, I don't really have much choice in matter.

Yeah, the choice. Now it has been taken away from us.

... for now. Who knows may 10 years later.

I can wait a decade. But given that's not guaranteed, I only have the AI version to play now.

Not yet. There are a few games I've got on the backburner. And I am still waiting for this and this.
While I still have my XBox 360 controller, I put it away given the right-stick is drifty and the left-stick occasionally gets jammed. So I need a new controller to play with.
The Sega Saturn Pro controller works fine, it's just I want a more standard controller to play with. (Especially given how the C and Z buttons being paired with the L and R buttons confuse me.)

Other than that, sometimes it's a bit of a struggle to keep the motivation to play games. I've yet to finish Skies of Arcadia or Fallout: London despite long wanting to play these games. (It also doesn't help Westminster is crash-central to Fo:L, I might be on the last stretch of the game and Mr Smythe is hauled up in Parliament.)

Always hated it when the stick is drifty.
One of my Switch joycon is also drifty now.
I know I could do DIY fixing by watching tutorials from youtube but too lazy for that.

Your Joycon isn't drifty! Completely in your imagination.

I know the most "sane" or "sensible" thing to do here, would be to simply buy a replacement XBox One controller or just use the Saturn Pro Controller... But my autistic brain seem to make me super fickle on such things.

Like, I got a bunch of Dreamcast games waiting for me on Flycast and I'm sure the Saturn Pro Controller will be fine for it... But I really want to play these games with a proper Dreamcast controller.

As for Steam, I've been playing first-person shooters with my XBox Adaptive Joystick + Mouse, but given I don't have a "general controller" for regular games, been somewhat on hiatus with them until I get my new controller. While I'm not tight with cash, I don't want to spend money on convenience and then more money on desired objects. It's the same with VR gaming. I could buy whatever VR headset is decent and then buy the Steam Frame, but that would just seem wasteful to me when I can just wait until I get a Steam Frame.

I think it's not wasteful if you played it for many days and enjoyed it.
It'd only be wasteful if you buy it and you don't play it at all or just play it for a few hours.
