Ooh.. that's cool.
Reminded me of fake realistic ads and website SEGA's doing for 404 GAME RE:SET back then.

It's always fun when video games or TV shows have in-lore websites and when you try these websites out of curiosity, you find they are real!
They're still talking about it? Damn. Many other companies also used AI images for reference material but they didn't say it, poor SEGA got punished for being honest.
This got me thinking... if I ever do give Unity another try.
If I made a game that by design is entirely by me. As in the models, textures, gameplay, everything exactly by my design... but the fact I lack knowledge of C#, I'm tempted to ask ChatGPT to help in that regard. Should I still be as honest as Sega with what area of use of AI? Or given I simply asked ChatGPT with technical, fidgety parts that players don't really care about, that I don't have to tell my audience about it?
If I was an indie game developer, I don't want to be dishonest to my audience, but I don't want to be that-reliant on AI if I ever get back into Unity. it's like an artist having an AI choose his palette colours for him for a painting, but the audience may still be upset it is AI-generated, some may even be thinking the picture is AI generated when really it is the paint itself that is AI-assisted.
(Plus, I wouldn't be surprised at all if HoYoverse use something like this
free AI anime generator for reference pictures to base their gacha waifu's on. As in, if they run out of ideas, just put favourable ideas in the description and generate a picture of a character they can use as reference for a new waifu to add to their games.)
