Ninjas in 2020, though? Not so much. They're still around, but they're nowhere near as popular, which is why Shadow Gangs has really caught our attention – it's arguably as close as we're going to get to a new Shinobi game these days, and seems to understand precisely what made those older coin-op hits so appealing.
The years come and go, it is now 2021 and I finally put together a review for SEGA Toy’s Astro City Mini. The unit has a lot of things going for it that makes it a must own device, but at the same time has some glaring flaws that we need to discuss.
This patch is designed to add a simple saving mechanism to Shinobi III. Game saves after every level past the first round.Loading: On Stage 1, Pause your game and press C, a number will pop up indicating what round you left off at. Unpause to load your game. Game will produce a black screen if no prior save is detected.
The Limited Run version of the SEGA Astro City Mini will only be limited to 3,500 units, which will probably make this version sought after in the collectors market compared to the regular Japanese version. As far as I know, the SEGA Astro City Mini unit included inside the English packaging is exactly the same as the Japanese retail unit.
Metacritic has released their list of the publishers with the highest average metascore for games released in 2020, and it comes at no surprise that SEGA is NUMBER ONE.We here at SEGAbits have seen SEGA’s 2020 output and can easily see why they’d take the top spot. Release good games, get good results!
Shinobi is only on PlayStation 2 (physically) or PlayStation 3 via PSN, as much as I like the PlayStation 2, its picture quality is terrible. I’d highly suggest playing it on the PlayStation 3 since it also cleans up the picture quite a bit.
You thought SEGA was done releasing variants of the Astro City Mini? Think again! China will be seeing a release of the machine, featuring a red joystick and buttons as well as an accompanying controller.
