SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance Update ver 1.10 Fixes Neo City Bug and Boosts Resolution on Switch

Quote
Patch Notes:

Switch
- Improved screen resolution.
- Fixed a progression-blocking bug in the “Neo City” stage where a location requiring the use of a Kusarifundo (Ninja Hook) could disappear. In addition, save data that had already become stuck due to this issue will now be automatically repaired upon loading.
- Fixed minor bugs.

PC
- Fixed a bug where scaffolding and grapple points would not appear correctly when returning to Neo City.

This patch fixes a soft-lock issue that could prevent players from completing the Neo City stage after obtaining the Ninja Hook. After obtaining that item, scaffolding with grapple points descends down and allows the player to use the Ninja Hook to progress upward to the next section of the stage. However, if players used Fast Travel or exited the stage right after obtaining the Ninja Hook, there was a chance that the scaffolding and grapple points would no longer be present when returning to Neo City, blocking players from continuing through the stage.
Any players that previously encountered this issue can now return to Neo City and should see the scaffolding and grapple points back in place, allowing you to ...

I would say "you could always get a Saturn Pro Controller", but I dunno how financially well off you are for such suggestion. But the Pro Controller is useful for when you want to play old Sega games on PC.

I used to own this one from Retro-Bit and yeah, definitely mapping all attack buttons to the front buttons back then.
Wanna try Saturn version too someday (if local retailers still sell one of course, importing is too expensive), I don't know how different it is compared to Mega Drive one, but not now since I don't have any desktop PC anymore and not planning to get any soon.

Golden Axe Villain Death Adder Invades SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance

SEGA has announced another iconic SEGA villain that will be appearing as a guest in the upcoming SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance DLC.
That villain is none other than the mighty Death Adder, the fearsome giant from the Golden Axe series, responsible for murdering the loved ones of Yuria’s heroic warriors.
Take on Death Adder,  ...

What I like about my Saturn Pro Controller is that I can also use it for modern PC gaming, given it has all the buttons expected for an XBox 360 controller... and two more.

I've seen Retro-Bit's plans for a Pro Dreamcast controller, and honestly I'm not fond of it. I'd rather it be a Dreamcast controller with two analogue sticks, two LR shoulder buttons over the LR trigger buttons and that's that. Maybe add a Ⓒ and Ⓩ button, but Ⓒ and Ⓩ are usually translated as trigger-buttons anyway when modern controllers like PlayStation and XBox makes use with four-buttons, LR shoulders and LR triggers.

I'm actually not fond of Dreamcast controller (not just the new Pro, but also the original one).
It's too big for my Asian's hand.
I even had Saturn controller port for Dreamcast back then so I can play Dreamcast with Saturn controller.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance – SEGABits Review – A Ninja Legend Reforged

Quote
Gameplay in Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is surprisingly deep, striking a balance between honoring the series’ roots and introducing modern refinements. Earlier Shinobi games, especially those influenced by Rolling Thunder, thrived on the high-risk “one hit, one kill” mechanic. While that tension worked in its time, Lizardcube wisely expands on what made the series unique by layering in mechanics that feel better suited for today. Joe Musashi still showcases his iconic techniques like the dive kick, shuriken throws, and the devastating ninjutsu arts seen in Revenge of Shinobi. On top of this, players can unlock new abilities, outfits, and power-ups by collecting Oboro Coins, which can then be spent at the Yokai Shop. These upgrades not only add variety but also give players a sense of progression that keeps the combat fresh from stage to stage.
At the heart of the game, the combat feels razor-sharp, quick, and incredibly responsive. One of the best additions is the ...

I'm alright with the Dreamcast controller, even though I acknowledge its size. Though I do think the XBox 360 and up controller is pretty much a perfected version of it.
