"Welcome to the Fantasy Zone - START TYPING!"

Quote
19 years ago today marked the PC release of Typing Space Harrier, where you could type your way across Moot, Geeza, Amar, and many more familiar stages!
Like The Typing of the Dead it relies on the player hitting keyboard keys at specified moments as quickly as possible.

Limited Run Games releasing an English package version of the SEGA Astro City Mini

Quote
The Limited Run version of the SEGA Astro City Mini will only be limited to 3,500 units, which will probably make this version sought after in the collectors market compared to the regular Japanese version.
As far as I know, the SEGA Astro City Mini unit included inside the English packaging is exactly the same as the Japanese retail unit.

Yu Suzuki Wanted to Name His Game (Space Harrier) as Fantasy Zone
Source from Fantasy Zone Interview

Quote
Ask : Was the title “Fantasy Zone” something you decided from the start?
Ishii: I wanted the title to be “Opa-Opa” too, but due to various circumstances… (laughs)
Apparently Yu Suzuki, who was developing Space Harrier at the same time as us, wanted to name his game Fantasy Zone.
But when our development chief came and saw our game, he said the title of Fantasy Zone fit what we were doing better. “Opa Opa is just a nonsense title. Fantasy Zone is better, let’s go with that!” And that’s what happened.

So what makes the Space Harrier guy fly? Is it the weapon he carries or is he just capable of flight like some superhero?

Also, what's his name?

He's capable of flight but I don't think he's a superhero since he's not invincible.
One hit and he's down.

Also, what's his name?

According to 3D SEGA Archives, his name is ...

So he's a guy named Harrier, who flies around in space? Though mostly occupies the Fantasy Zone.
