It did, but I heard it was rather inferior in other various specs for a console, with fast processing speed being one of the few things it had above the SNES. But Sega's marketing teams aggressive marketing with boasting "Blast Processing" and jabbing at Nintendo made the console really stand out and hold its own against Nintendo.
While I agree Sega leaving the console market and being PC and multi-platform was a goos idea, I miss the competitive era of Sega.
I also miss when SEGA was still the king of arcades.
Its dominance in the arcade industry during the 1980s and 1990 with iconic cabinets (Sega Rally Championship, Daytona, Golden Axe, Hang-On, Moonwalker, Outrun, etc) found in arcades everywhere.

They have developed over 500 games and 70 franchises since 1981 for arcade alone.
Right now I feel like they're just limited on updating Initial D The Arcade, maimai, Kancolle, Chunithm, UFO Catchers, Star Horse, and Ongeki ... which I'm not a fan of.
I do miss it but then again even if they're still the king of arcades, I have no time to go to arcade centers anymore, unlike when I was still young.
