So I was wondering... the Virtua Gun/Stunner. Is it based on an existing firearm of sort? Maybe I just don't know enough about firearms to make a connection, but the Virtua Gun does sort of resemble a large handgun of sort, such as a Mateba Autorevolver or even the Auto 9. Is it modelled after an actual gun?

Yes, it was based on the Japanese Mateba 2006M revolver, which is known for having the barrel located at the bottom of the cylinder, giving it a lower profile compared to traditional revolvers.

Doesn't look as bulky as the Virtua Gun, but surprised I was on the right track with Mateba.

The design has to be changed a lot due to legal reason and firearm safety regulations, but at least here in Asia and Japan we got the black colour instead of America's orange.

I'm asking because I can't find the model on GMod or SFM workshop and wondering if I could reskin an existing gun for a replacement.
https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=4000&searchtext=Mateba&childpublishedfileid=0&browsesort=textsearch&section=

There are a few Unica 6 models, but none like the light gun I want.

It annoys me the GMod workshop has many different kinds of Nintendo Zappers and one or two Super Scope models, but I can only find the one or two Sega Phaser models. None for Menacer or Virtua Gun. I'd rather use the Menacer for this thing I'm doing, but I gotta make do with what I got.

Like it or not, Nintendo Zappers and Super Scopes are more popular afterall.

Sega Master System was better than NES since it's technically superior, featuring faster processing, more colors, and better-looking multiplatform games but we do know which one is more popular.

Developer jnmartin84 decompiled the PC version of Sonic R from scratch, creating a fully playable build that runs natively on macOS with fixed-function OpenGL and 64-bit compatibility updates. The project establishes groundwork for a future port to Sega Dreamcast and potential additions like network play.

The Mega Drive wasn't to scoff at either.

Released three years before the SNES, it was made to put the NES in its place. But when SNES came out, despite being inferior in certain aspects others than speed processing, it still put up an amazing fight against SNES!

Mega Drive/Genesis actually held a primary advantage over the SNES in processing speed, offering a 7.67 MHz Motorola 68000 CPU compared to the SNES's 3.58 MHz processor (SEGA's marketing team called this advantage as ... you know what it was ... yeah, Blast Processing).
This enabled faster-paced gameplay, smoother performance especially in shooters, beat em up, and sports games.

It did, but I heard it was rather inferior in other various specs for a console, with fast processing speed being one of the few things it had above the SNES. But Sega's marketing teams aggressive marketing with boasting "Blast Processing" and jabbing at Nintendo made the console really stand out and hold its own against Nintendo.

While I agree Sega leaving the console market and being PC and multi-platform was a goos idea, I miss the competitive era of Sega.

I also miss when SEGA was still the king of arcades.
Its dominance in the arcade industry during the 1980s and 1990 with iconic cabinets (Sega Rally Championship, Daytona, Golden Axe, Hang-On, Moonwalker, Outrun, etc) found in arcades everywhere.

They have developed over 500 games and 70 franchises since 1981 for arcade alone.
Right now I feel like they're just limited on updating Initial D The Arcade, maimai, Kancolle, Chunithm, UFO Catchers, Star Horse, and Ongeki ... which I'm not a fan of.
I do miss it but then again even if they're still the king of arcades, I have no time to go to arcade centers anymore, unlike when I was still young.

Yeah, not only did COVID did a number on the arcade business in general, but I imagine Sega losing their famous arcade centres in Tokyo have been a blow for them and the fans.

Other than that, post-Sammy Sega just aren't really the same as pre-Sammy Sega, so it's both understandable yet heartbreaking why Sega's business practice has changed over the years.
