I sorta given a rest for PSO2. Lost my drive for it. Especially given I'm stuck on the last episode.

May be it's a good thing so you have more time to do anything more productive, lol JK.
I haven't touched it since Idola had a brigade wars that's now happened daily.
I decided I only need one Phantasy Star game now and Idola is my pick since I can play it anywhere.
Don't have time to play them all.
I haven't even finished Alex Kidd DX other than unlimited lives mode.

Happy International Dog Day

Quote
Dog Day has been created so that all breeds of dogs are celebrated; mixed and pure.
The day helps to galvanize the public so that they can recognise the number of dogs that must be rescued on a yearly basis, from pure breed rescuers, rescues, and public shelters.

I just find PSO2 it mostly repetitive after you access most of the worlds. Usually "kill so many enemies" or "Kill so many this kind of enemies", stuff like that. Kinda hard to imagine how more hardcore longterm players find joy in this game... Maybe it's like school, only without the lessons and all the social interactions.

I think the remaining players stayed because they love to customize their character.
And selling what they need to customize's the only way SEGA to make money from this free to play game.

Sega and Atlus announced their Tokyo Game Show events, and it’s kicking things off with a Sega Atlus Channel, official website, and social media campaign.
There will be Sega and Atlus TGS 2021 news offered between October 1-3, 2021.
Also, people who share pictures on Twitter with #Love_Sega until September 12, 2021 might have those photos included in promotional efforts for the companies and their events.

It is, I just wish to have a bit more out of it which is probably selfish of a F2Per like me to ask. But I do like the direction New Genesis is going with an open world to explore, I just wish they'd drop theBattle Points thing. Sucks I can't progress in the story because of lack of BP when original PSO2 offer difficulty-scaling for it's story events.

Open world is the new trend now.
Mario Odyssey is open world and one of few Mario games that I could enjoy.
Sonic Rangers is also rumoured to be open world.

Open-world gaming has been around since the mid-90s.... since Meridian 59. While Phantasy Star Online had specific areas on planets in a whole universe, World of Warcraft allowed you to explore the entirety of the one world it's set in... and frankly WoW became the more popular and reknown MMORPG of it's time while PSO remained in Japan.

New Genesis feels more like an "about time" sort of thing than saying open-world in ground breaking for such an MMORPG.

I meant for kids of this generation.
My kids still love playing old school Sonic and Mario games,
but the ones they're playing daily are always Minecraft and Roblox.
The ones with open world.

As I said on SNN (A Sonic wiki I am an admin at), I believe if they made a Sonic game with at least some MMOG features it would made that games shelf life last more longer than it's market.

My idea would be for the next Sonic game to have a "side game" called Avatar Battle Mode. It be like Battle Mode from Shadow's game but with Avatars and wispons. As long as it has more than three stages and more types of competitive modes then Avatar Battle Mode would carry the whole Sonic game for years.

Don't believe me? When Fortnite was release, it was released as a game with it's own story mode while the battle royale was a free seperate mode. In yet the free battle royale of the game has pretty much taken the entire identity of Fortnite and been keeping to it's audience interest for years!
If a Sonic game could copy what makes this MMO games so popular it too could make a Sonic game that's marketed for 2-3 years last for yeard on end.

Would love if the Avatar Battle Mode was expanded to be like PSO2 in layout.
