Forgotten Sega Genesis Games

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSYz4VNww0s
Y'know, I often wonder about Master System's Sega All-Stars. I mean Alex Kidd, Ristar and Shinobi are the only Sega Superstars that comes to mind that started out on Master System (Well, Shinobi was originally an arcade game) while most of Nintendo's superstars started on the NES with the other half introduced in SNES.

Makes me wonder who Sega's champions of the Master System.

According to this homebrew game who puts many Master System characters :

- Wang from Kung Fu Kid,
- Steve from My Hero,
- Tom-Tom from Wonder Boy In Monster Land,
- Alex Kid from Alex Kid in Miracle World,
- Opa-Opa from Fantasy Zone,
- Psycho Fox from Psycho Fox,
- Joe Mushashi from Shinobi,
- Mick from Ghost House,
- Doctor Social from Master of Darkness,
- Teddy Boy from Teddy Boy,
- Bin from Dynamite Dux,
- Riki from Black Belt,
- JJ from Zillion,
- Sonic from Sonic the Hedgehog

The true champion is probably the boss of the game who's originally from SMS : Alis from Phantasy Star.

I'm not familiar with most of these names. Why didn't these names catch on as efficiently as NES names?

You're right.
Mick or Riki are too generic for names.
Donkey Kong and Kirby are examples of more memorable names.

Valis: The Fantasm Soldier 35th Anniversary Revival Project

Quote
There hasn’t been a new Valis game since 2006, but we might actually see something soon. Edia launched a 35th-anniversary Valis “revival project” website for the series.
The Valis revival project website doesn’t include any new information yet, but we can expect to see it update soon.

Happy 30th Year Anniversary for Valis III (MD) !!!

Quote
Valis III is a 1990 action game for the TurboGrafx-16 CD by Telenet Japan.
It was ported to the Sega Mega Drive in 1991 and released in the US and Japan.
It was the first Valis game released on a Sega system (the first two games would follow).
