Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Boss Addresses How the Game Differs from Mario Kart World

Quote
“So, I haven’t yet played Mario Kart World. But just kind of what I see out there from the videos, it looks like Nintendo did a good job of putting in a lot of fun, so it’s more of like an action game. I see a lot of that coming through. The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds game is different in that it was made by the Sega arcade racing team along with the Sonic Team, and the focus really is on racing and that competitive play. That was really important to the team, and they wanted to make sure it was in there, and you could also cross-match against everyone out there who owns the game. So cross-platform play is in there. And you can go ahead and race and have that competitive experience against anyone on any platform,” Iizuka told GamesRadar+ through a translator.
Iizuka went on to note that the Travel Rings in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds also help to distinguish the game, as they add an extra layer of variety. Since those Travel Rings can greatly change how a course plays out during a session, it helps to set the game apart. Of course, the fact that ...

An 'OutRun' Pop-Up Shop Has Opened In Japan until  Monday, June 30th.

Quote
It's not exactly the most exciting merch collection that we've ever seen (We'd personally love to see a few more clothing options, for instance). But hey, if you happen to be in the area and have a fondness for the legendary arcade game, it's probably worth taking a look before making the trip over to Tower Records Shibuya (less than five minutes away) to see what video game soundtracks you can ...

SEGA surprised everyone at the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards with a reveal: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is crossing over with Nickelodeon. And yes—SpongeBob is in.
During the show, SEGA dropped a new trailer showing SpongeBob and friends hitting the track alongside Sonic and his crew. Switch 2 Edition Of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Appears To Be Completely On The Card

Quote
Why exactly almost all third-party developers have opted for game-key cards instead of putting their games on the cards remains unclear. One theory is that the smallest cards Nintendo has offered them is 64GB. That makes producing physical copies of a game even more expensive than it already is, particularly if your game doesn't come close to being big enough to fill all that space. That would also explain why ...

Yes! I never brought a Switch to begin with, and would find it wasteful if I brought a Switch 2 for just the few games. The only way Nintendo could ever convince me to buy a Switch 2 is if it gets a Sonic exclusive. Yet Sega are not going to make that mistake again.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds however will be released on many consoles, as well as Steam, so I can buy it there without having to sell a kidney for it!

Switch still got many SEGA exclusives games so for me it's still definitely worth it.

Not to mention all those arcade-perfect SEGA AGES titles.
Columns II, Shinobi, and Phantasy Star with auto map function were so much fun.

That's the old Switch though.
But Switch 2? Not so much.
So far I'm not interested in getting one.
