19 Years Ago Super Monkey Ball was Rolling To Europe as GameCube Launch Title !

Despite all future games borrowing the "Super Monkey Ball" name, this release is not actually the first game in the series - Monkey Ball, released for Sega NAOMI hardware in 2001 was.
Super Monkey Ball acts as an updated version of Monkey Ball, and was released exclusively for Nintendo's console, and was one of the three (and the only third-party) launch title for the GameCube in Japan.
In Europe, Super Monkey Ball was also launch title for the GameCube, along with two other SEGA games : Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.

The game promises 300 recreated stages from the original three Super Monkey Ball games, as well as fan favorite mini games.
Expect the game to hit October 5, 2021 to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Sonic and Tails Playable Character Art Discovered in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania Website

Character artwork for Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails have been found buried within the official website for SEGA’s Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania, suggesting that the two furry heroes are planned to be (as-yet-unannounced) playable characters in the game.
Whether they will each have any special abilities during gameplay or not remains to be seen – we can’t wait until they are formally announced by SEGA.
