Sonic the Hedgehog 3 releases later this month and the film has been screened for some critics already. The reaction seems to be overwhelmingly positive with many noting it’s action-packed and surprisingly emotional. Censorship still could come up in another way but we still didn't know how they will handle it.

They're not pretending it didn't happen. They're just not showing it.

This and that are definitely different thing.
I remember a Jesus movie that told from his dispicle's perpective.
The movie didn't show Jesus being crucified, but just because they're not showing it didn't mean it's happened.
It's still happened in the movie and we could know because it's been discussed by the disciples. Not everything have to be shown graphically.

I just want confirmation it's still a thing, 'cus SXSG feels they're avoiding it to the point I'm questioning if Maria's death is now ambiguous.

Nightcrawler already argued with Storm about that and almost in the end of the movie Storm is kinda half-agree with him.

That's true.
Sometimes I can't understand what my youngest son said to his friends.
He's from Gen Alpha.
His older brother is Gen X.
He also has languages very different than my youngest one, which I also sometimes couldn't understand.
