Indeed. He has been nominated for Golden Globes for his roles in The Truman Show and Man on the Moon afterall.

he claimed he was channeling the very spirit of Andy Kaufman himself when he starred in that film.
Fear not. According leak from MyTimeToShineHello, Amy is kinda in the middle.
She's strong enough to not let her get kidnapped but also will develop feeling for Sonic.
Her and Sonic's interaction would be like a romantic action comedy.
Of course not every fans like romcom, we can't satisfy everyone afterall.
Well, it's still an early draft, it could still change (especially if there are requests from the producers). For better or for worse.
As a SonAmy fan, I would appreciate some romcom between the two than just Sega pretending she has nothing for Sonic the past few years. It would be great if instead of making her head-over-heels for him like she was in the Classic-Dreamcast era, they have a genuine and relatable budding relationship.
Well ... using human character as villain is cheaper.
No need to do CGI for them.
I kinda understand the reason why.
Cheaper yes, but wouldn't be worthwhile if the audience don't enjoy the character. Making them a CGI character could make them at least somewhat interesting.
But again, if that CGI villain was an original character, such as
Rava the Destroyer, then the Sonic fans will be a bit confused over it, just as they were with Lyric.
Neo Metal Sonic is an established villain, so maybe spending some dosh to render him a CGI villain would be worth while... Or heck I can imagine some scenes done with a puppet of him.
Because Jim Carrey as a big star sells the movie.
I joined Jim Carrey fans group in the facebook and they're always enthusiastic about Sonic movies because Jim is in it.
If Jim isn't in it, they're not interested in the movie anymore.
Idris Alba and Keanu Reeves fans are kinda divided.
May be because they're not really showing up in the movie, just their voices.
In conclusion, do not underestimate Jim Carrey's fans influence on the movie's success. If they are gone, then the movie needs a big superstar (who shows up in the movie, not just his/her voices) to fill the hole. Otherwise I doubt it could surpass Sonic 3 movie's success.
Again, I'm not saying they should retire Dr. Robotnik from the movies, or make him completely absent from the fourth movie.
It's just the last three movies had him as the main villain, let's do something fresh and have a new villain for the fourth film and perhaps tease Dr. Robotniks return for the fifth.
Dr. Robotnik "died" twice now, his second death being more he "sort of" resolved his villain-arc. I'm all for Dr. Robotnik being the reoccuring villain and I'm glad Jim Carrey loves the role. It's just Dr. Robotnik would just continue watching Spanish novellas if it were not for someone else using his tech, motivating him to get involved.
If Neo Metal Sonic is going to be the second villain using hius tech and getting Dr. Robotnik to budge, at least let Neo Metal Sonic stand on his own for awhile before Dr. Robotnik swoops in.
It's just personal taste.
I kinda hate Neo Metal Sonic's design, prefer the usual look.
I don't have problem with Terminator in vibes.
I just hate that the big bad boss Metal Sonic's and Ultron's design be used as merely thugs to be punched by heroes.
They should have use another design ... Silver Sonic design may be.

Come to think of it, I am disappointed that they didn't go for an original Mecha Sonic. Something like a T-800 terminator crossed with a Bay' Decepticon in design, something completely original than just Metal Sonic.
Especially given movie-badniks have their own design-scheme of white chrome and a single glowing red optic which is different from Metal Sonic's design.
