Netherlands - 1602–1942 -
340 years, though actual & unified colonial control over the entire archipelago only lasted about 40-70 years.
Portugal - 1512–1605 in the Moluccas (Spice Islands) - Approximately
100 years of control in specific spice-producing islands, primarily focused on trade monopolies.
Britain - 1811–1815 (interim rule during Napoleonic Wars) - A short
4-year interregnum. They also held trading posts like Bencoolen for longer periods but did not rule the entire region.
