They did invade Indonesia back then, but our nation wasn't exist as a country.
It's still consisted many own kingdoms.
did the British Empire influence Indonesia?
Americanized version of Japanese series was nothing new though.
Many TV cartoons adapted from anime has started in the 70s/80s.
The most famous one is Battle of the Planets / G-Force.
They uses footages from Gachaman anime (officially of course) but changed the story and added their new own footages to fill the gaps.

True, it wasn't until later where anime had more faithfaul dubbing.

But still, I wish Toei had an American branch where they could just dun Super Sentai and Kamen Rider over relying on Saban, hasbro or whoever to make adaptions from it.

No, Dutch Colonial Empire did.
There are five countries invaded Indonesia back then with Netherland being the strongest one.

It's more about cultural differences and American children's programming standards. Direct translations of Kamen Rider /Super Sentai often contain cultural elements or themes (example: a train-themed team in Ressha Sentai ToQger) that executives believed might not resonate with American children.

The original series can also feature more mature themes or visible violence (characters getting injured or killed like the death of Tackle in Kamen Rider Stronger) that required toning down for American children's programming standards.

How did it all go? If you can summerize is.

True, but there is still somewhat of a western audience for Toei's tokusatsu show that they could market them for older audience, even if it's a niché market.

How did it all go? If you can summerize is.

Here's every countries that invaded Indonesia and how many years they're in Indonesia

Netherlands - 1602–1942 - 340 years, though actual & unified colonial control over the entire archipelago only lasted about 40-70 years.
Portugal - 1512–1605 in the Moluccas (Spice Islands) - Approximately 100 years of control in specific spice-producing islands, primarily focused on trade monopolies.
Britain - 1811–1815 (interim rule during Napoleonic Wars) - A short 4-year interregnum. They also held trading posts like Bencoolen for longer periods but did not rule the entire region.
France - 1806–1811 (via the Kingdom of Holland, a French puppet state) - Approximately 5 years of administration during the Napoleonic era.
Japan - 1942–1945 (World War II occupation)- A brutal 3-year military occupation that ended with the close of WWII.

Of course this is all an oversimplification, but Netherland is the most dominated one until the Japanese invasion in 1942.
When Japan lost the WWII, Indonesia proclaimed its independence after over 300 years of Dutch colonialism in 1945.
The Dutch colonialism didn't like it though so we had a war again against them in 1947 and 1948.

True, but there is still somewhat of a western audience for Toei's tokusatsu show that they could market them for older audience, even if it's a niché market.

Right now may be. But back then the franchise landscape is very different, tv series are made to sell toys.
No matter how popular the work itself is, it can be Cut Short if the toys or other merchandise doesn't sell as expected, and the one that sells in USA are mainly "white" athletic males as the main role of the series.

But Saban proves that colourful costumed characters that can fight can still turn a profit in merchandising.

Funny thing is, unlike other countries, Japan tried to erase that fact from history.
Most of Japanese youngsters didn't even know that their country used to invade Indonesia brutally.

Yeah, after americanized as Power Rangers, VR Troopers, and Masked Riders. Before that, they didn't sell in US.

I suppose good thing America often reminds them of their invasions and part in WW2.

They didn't sell in the US because no one ported them. The first impression most Americans got were Power Rangers, VR Trooper, Masked Rider etc. Then the internet happened and realised where it all came from.

May be because they kinda won the war.
Most American kids couldn't locate other countries in the maps though.
They don't even know that Bali island is part of Indonesia.

They didn't meet the US strict TV Show guidelines so they couldn't be ported in TV (but rental VHS version existed though the interest were low).
It's not just happened with imported shows though, even US series like COPS, Thundarr the Barbarian, and Pirates of Dark Water had to changed and toned down to the point that it loses the charm.
Still they at least allowed "Ninja" theme, unlike UK, who changed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles.

Most Americans can't locate other countries on the map, but can point to the ones they've beaten in World War 2.

I forgot about TMHT, but yeah, I guess you're right. Funny how censorship changes over time.
