This new portable console looks pretty good, but the name it was given really raises an eyebrow... Next Gen Portable? I hope that's just a concept name...

Also the presentation trailer is amazing, you'd never guess in a million years that this was a games console.

I like what I'm seeing so far. Those sticks make it look like it won't really fit in a pocket very well....that and the size.

Its amazing, and fixes the 2 issues I had with the PSP (Lack of 2 sticks and loading with the UMD). My only issue will be the price of the games

My feelings and worries.

- Pricing. 4 core CPU, Dual core GPU on a handheld device? Android phones cost 200 on contract, 500 off... and the specs are shit compared to this beast.
- Software line up. I know this is just a glimpse and i'm excited to see more, but 3rd party had nothing yet. I hope for Phantasy Star Portable 3 and Mega Man Legends 3 port ! Perfect.
- 3G pricing. I hope they get a deal like Kindle, who has free 3G. But limit the 3G just for 'synching' trophies, catching CFW, stats, leaderboards and those other features that take no bandwidth. Online play and downloading updates/store shit could be extra for the company.
- Battery life
- Buttons being too small:

Outside of that, they have done a great device to fight off mobile devices, bring extra income from mobiles and really fight the 3DS.

I'm with George on the price. An iPhone costs over $700 without a contract in Canada. I'm a little worried.
I hope it has trophies too.
I don't think the buttons are smaller. That image doesn't seem to be to scale.

It does have trophies. There was a photo that said 'trophies' in the press conference.

Someone made a point that iphone 4, material alone costs 186 bucks to make. Of course this is not counting advertising, shipping, etc etc. The PSP2 will be bigger form factor compared to mobile phones.

So we shall see. If Sony seriously wants to cut into handheld business and beat iPod Touch, they have to price it at 250-300. You can get a iPod touch 32gb for $259.

So I say 300 might be the 'sweet spot' if they want it to take off.

Sony Bend, pretty lame name.

Uncharted is kind of a weird game to bring to it. I am glad Sony is finally sticking to IPs, but a lot of these are kind of samey from an art standpoint. Still waiting for Tomba 3.

They have not announced a proper line up, its one event. I'm waiting for E3. Sony said it won't be 600 dollars, it will be affordable. Whatever that means to them....

I think it's just called Sony Bend because that's where the studio is based.

Like Ubisoft Montreal.
