We all know they will sell a case for protection, but I would not be worried much about the sticks (These look better than any Sony has made to date), it is the screen I am thinking will need extra strength.

But like I said, what might happen with the sticks if I put an NGP in my pocket? I'm just nervous because they might stick out too much or maybe even be ruined while in there.

It will most likely come with a case like I mentioned, or they will at least sell one at launch. Probably would not be too expensive compared to whatever the price of this is.

It is also possible (maybe somewhat unlikely) that this is not the finished case.

What about scratches... err.. it will have a cover on it. So won't scratch more than an iphone or android phone, which all seem to hold up well.

For 6 years I've never scratched the screen of my PSPs (I broke one completely, but that's another story).
If you are a bit conscious at all on how you handle the console, it will never scratch.

More so on an OLED touchscreen. These things are great.
