I beat Halo 2 last night.
Again, being new to the Halo franchise, and just beating the first one about a month ago, I'd have to say that I really enjoyed this one much more.
I knew there was going to be a cliffhanger ending, so that didn't really bother me at all.
The presentation throughout the whole game was just so far ahead of the first one, I was really impressed.  The ability to dual wield and play as the Arbiter were really welcome additions. Sneaking up behind a Brute and stabbing them in the back with a sword was good times.  The level design was also a lot better.  Way less mindless wandering around hallway after hallway that looked the exact same, but for some reason was repeated enough times that stages took much longer than they needed too.
I don't have a 360, so I really don't see myself playing through the 3rd one any time soon.  I'm thinking I'll wait until at least E3, just to see if that rumoured slimmed down 360 is actually coming out, or if they announce another price cut or something.

You should try out Halo Wars when you get a 360 as well, really cool RTS game that captures the Halo universe perfectly.

Would ODST be worth bothering with?

Sorry to sound like a broken record but I'm still playing Lost Odyssey.

Yet... Today I'm closer to finishing the final boss battle.

My characters are all mostly Lvl 57(Kaim, Seth, Jansen, Sarah), lvl 54(Ming), lvl 52(Sed), Lvl 49(Cooke), lvl 45(Mack) and lvl43(Tolten).

I am just two boss battles away from finishing this.

you should level up with Tolten, he has very usefull special attacks. I used him a lot after you find all the king's stuff (sorry don't remember the name of the graves)

Use "A New Venture" song from Sonic Rush Adventure. It suits very well for BSI  :afroman:!

I enjoyed the first two, but not enough to play something for the sole reason being that it's got the same brand name on it.

The campaign is enjoyable and overall it's a solid game but I always had the feeling it was a game made for fans. I think it's worth a rent if you don't have anything to play right now and enjoyed the other games.

I know some of you will laugh at me but I just started playing Yakuza for the first time. It's really good despite it showing it's age a bit (no letterbox or progressive mode options availible.)

I don't see the whole Shenmue successor in heart thing but it's really a decently laid out story and game so far. I'm hooked.

My parents mailed me my missing Dreamcast PAL copy of Shenmue II, it was in a storage box for the last 7 years.

I booted it up, for a few minutes of play and that few minutes turned into an hour and a half! I think I'm going to replay Shenmue II :D I've had the Xbox version, but the Dreamcast feels much more special.

I started up ToeJam and Earl III with my girlfriend today. Played a few missions. It seems pretty fun so far.

Yeah, I have been playing Yakuza for the first time as well, while I indeed like it a lot, I wish everyone would drop the comparisons with Shenmue, if anything it is much closer to Streets of Rage.

I have a bunch of minor issues with the title, but nothing really really bad, hoping I can pick up Yakuza 2 soon... The biggest reason I never got it before was because I was not certain if it would work on the PlayStation 2 that I have.

I have also been playing through Super Monkey Ball Deluxe on the original Xbox, another great Nagoshi game! In fact, I think this is literally one of the best games SEGA has ever made within their 50+ year history. I am not joking at all, extremely outstanding game that I would recommend to everyone.

My main issue with it is that I suck at it! While I beat the story mode (could never do this in Super Monkey Ball 2 on the GameCube) I cannot get past level 8 out of 100 on the Expert Challenge mode. What is worse is that there are 2 whole other difficulties after it, I am telling ya that the people who designed this game are assholes, but extremely talented ones at that!

Annnnd I have also been playing through Final Fantasy IV on Super Nintendo for the first time (called Final Fantasy II in my region). I feel bad because after all of these years, I just assumed I just was not a big fan of the series... I hated the first three games, and the new ones do not sit too well with me at all, though I do really want to give XIII a go. Well, I try out IV in a joking mood, assuming I was going to point out to my friends how shitty it was, you know, I was being a George. and I soon learn that this is going to become one of my favorite RPGs of all time, no joke! I also noticed almost all of my favorite elements and concepts from the Shining series I used to love so much were pretty much just ripped right out of this game especially! Son of a bitch!!

The first thing I noticed about it though, was with how poor the graphics are. While they were probably average for the time, compare it to Phantasy Star II which was three years older at the time... No competition, Phantasy Star II will always look better.

Now I am just wondering where I am going to get the money to pick up Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love and Yakuza 2 because we all know they will just become harder and harder to find within the year, looks like all of the other games I was thinking about getting soon (Super Street Fighter IV included) will have to wait awhile.

Yakuza 3... still. I don't do a huge amount of gaming. ^^

I've also played some web games if you'd count them. :P

A LOT of mdern warfare 2 online with two of my friends, I have gone up 13 levels in the last two weeks.

I have also been cruising around in a tank with my brother capturing bases in Bad Company 2, it's quite a lot more refined than the first bad company; probably my favourite multiplayer game that i've played online!

That's a bout it really, I tried getting into Banjo Tooie but I really don't feel the love for this, the lvels are too expansive and kazooie runs too slowly. Maybe I'll get back into it after I've finished Nuts and Bolts.
