I never figured out how to pick your species.  I'll look into that.

Soup, how did you get that trophy icon into your signature?  I'm getting an error saying the height has to be 150 or less.  That picture is 155.

That game really can be quite difficult, lots of fun though!

Recently I just haven't been the mood for playing games at all unfortunately. All i've been playing is little bits of King of Fighters 98 UM here and there.

Oh, also I downloaded and played around with Sumotori Dreams after seeing this vid.

Same here, at least time intensive games. I've been playing a lot of XBLA games for short spurts, but haven't had the time or energy to start up RDR. I blame the heat.

When you do get back into RDR, if you ever see me online shoot me an invite. We can bust up some outlaw hideouts together!

On an unrelated note, where the bloody hell is King of Fighters 2002 UM for XBLA? It was leaked to pirates months ago and we still haven't got a release date. ;_;

Man, you stop playing games regurarly for almost a month and suddenly your muscle memory is gone.

I tried playing Magna Carta 2 again with no luck with beating one of the tougher bosses right now, almost near the end of the game.
Again, having the boss cancel your chain link and basically being helpless while he does his super move is a very poor design choice. And when you're low on healing items and reviving items, it's a matter of luck. Lots of it.

Also tried playing Aliens vs Predator with the Predator. Man I really suck at it. I though it was cool being the Predator but his moves are way too complex compared to the Marine character. I haven't finished the first stage yet(the actual first stage, not the tutorial level).

The exact text I have in my signature, under my user settings is:
Quote

I tried previewing it with your ID, in place of mine, to see if I got the same error that you were getting when I previewed it. I got the same deal.
I tried previewing it with what I've got in there right now, and ended up getting the same error again.  I'm not too sure why mine's working right now, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to get it to work again if I changed it. Probably something worth posting in the Technical Issues topic.

Donkey Kong Country 3 has been beaten.  It seemed quite a bit easier than the first two overall.  Definitely enjoyable though. I'm playing through the last chapter of FFXIII right now. I probably won't beat it tonight, but I'm pretty sure I'll have it done tomorrow afternoon.
I think it's going to be one of the few RPGs that where I'll actually be playing any post-game stuff.

No problem. I tried to put the actual text in the quote, but failed apparently :(.

I've just beaten FFXIII, and loved it.
I think the biggest problem people had was that they went into it with too many hang ups about what it "should be" like.  Knowing that it's pretty different from the beginning, I was willing to give it a shot.
The progression's more in line with a Halo/Uncharted style game.  The battle system's a big part of keeping each fight interesting, and I can't remember a single JRPG with a battle system that kept you as on your toes as this one.

It's not a perfect game, but I sure enjoyed it.

LIMBO, and it's scary as fudge.

Also, that Destination Arcade app is cool and all, but does it really need to be showing up on my profile as a game I've played (see the big blue D)? It's just a snazzy way to browse the arcade titles. I'm not playing it!!

I didn't realise Limbo was out. I'll get the demo at least for sure.

Been playing Dead Space, which I picked up for PC on sale a while ago. Really good game and quite scary too. Reminds me of a mix between old-school RE and new-school RE. Scary and slower paced like the old ones, but still has plenty of enemies and linear like the new ones.

Personally I still think the old RE games are better in terms of survival horror (plenty of ammo and save points/check points in this game mean I'm never really fretting), but this game is great if you like that sort of thing.

I've been playing through Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.
I was a bit disappointed when I first saw this one, as I actually enjoyed the 2008 game. I thought the look of it was really impressive, and I actually got used to the Assassin's Creed - less buttons for platforming - style of play.

The first impression is so-so. The graphics are really nice sometimes, and pretty meh at other times.  The game goes back to the old Sands of Time voice actor, and controls where you have to hit the trigger button to run along walls and such.  The platforming starts off pretty straightforward, but gets a lot more interesting once you can freeze water.
I've been enjoying it more and more, as I play through it. I think I'm about halfway through, but it's shaping up to be right up there with Sands of Time. I'd liken it to the sequel that I was hoping for after playing Sands, and before getting slapped in the face with Warrior Within.

Finished Mass Effect. It's such a great game. I'll play Limbo next and then I'll go back to John Shepard and his friends on Mass Effect 2.

I've been playing NHL 2K9. It's one of the best sport games I've played in my life.

2 nights ago I was playing at 2AM and it was 7-7 entering overtime after a last minute tie goal on my behalf. I won. It's exciting and fun.

I like how you can personalize every aspect of the game. There sliders for each characteristic of skaters and goalies. And there's even separate sliders for ice and puck friction.

I put all skills at 100. Game's fast and aggressive. I'm having massive fun.
