Not sparked by anything said here: I'm going to have to facepalm over how many folks think $15 is a rip-off for an XBLA title.

Seriously. A newly developed game that offers hours of gameplay priced at $15 is too expensive? I remember value titles on the Dreamcast that cost $20. With inflation in mind, games like HTH, LIMBO and Snoopy Flying ace should be $25 to $30. Instead, we get them for the lower than past budget title price of $15. Also, devs gotta make money somehow.

I played the first 20 minutes of Alpha Protocol.

I was surprised, the game is OK, there are quite a few bugs and the AI can seem to have brain dead reactions one way or another.

The conversation bit is also great, but sometimes it's easy to lose yourself into a lot of the dialogue. I'm using a very Professional approach and Mina Tang already likes me! I gave a Casual response to Darcy and he's reaction was accompined by a brief face eyebrow raise and a "Sure, whatever" reaction.

Mike Thorton also makes some cool puns.

I'm starting the Saudi Arabia missions soon.

I tried playing some SASAR online (to get one of the last trophies), but after about an hour of trying, I only managed to get one race in :(.

I'm 36 hours into Mass Effect 2. I never thought I would like this series so much. Curse you Sanus, you casted (sp?) a spell on me.

@ Max: Don't be taken in too much by the reviews, AP isn't perfect but it's really fun. Some of the boss fights are really memorable too.

I just got 1000/1000 in VF5. I proclaim myself the Undisputed King of Virtua Fighting on SegaBits!

Congrats! If we had a SEGAbits belt, you'd have it (Imagune a VMU secured with a bungee cord).

I'm still trying to crack VF5. I can kick ass in VF1-3 (and Kids, Megamix and Fighting Vipers), but 4&5 are a bit tougher for me to master.

@MadeManG74

My first impressions of this game were very good, I also think that the reviews for Alpha Protocol were too harsh. Doesn't look broken to me at all.

Anyway, I also played Magna Carta 2 once again. This time thanks to the Bonus Pack, I equiped two big weapons for each character that was ridiculously overpowerded.

Long story short, the two boss fights were finished in less than 5 minutes.

Still playing Dead Space. The game is fun but... I dunno. It's just not really doing it for me. Maybe its just taht I have a lot on my mind at the moment and can't really concentrate on these big games (I abandoned Stranglehold half way through, which I just about NEVER do). It's held my interest a lot, but just not the same as the old RE games did (my favourite horror titles, along with Condemned). It is very good though, I think I'm just finding it harder to find the time to play through it.

It also made me want to try out REmake, I found a good priced copy on ebay for wii, so I'll definitey get that.

On the other hand, I'm loving KOF recently, just been playing it heaps with some friends.

46 hours of Mass Effect 2. I think I did everything except the DLC. Holy shit this game is awesome. This generation has been around since 2006 and only in 2010 I got to play what I would consider two great games. The other is the one with that crazy witch everybody here seems to hate.

Bioshock 2 is next in line.

^I think you'll find everyone here actually loves Bayonetta.

Also, yes ME2 is brilliant (although I loved the first as well), and I also loved Bioshock 1 and 2. Hope you enjoy it too.

I was joking. Nobody understands me.

I thought ME2 was a million times better than ME1. I doubt the same will happen with Bioshock but we'll see.

We bought a new living room chair over the weekend, which moved the old couch into the computer/retro games room.

I tested the new couch by playing Sonic 2. I don't think I've played Sonic 2 for that long since the mid-90's! I played up til the end of Hill Top Zone, then turned it off due to other things that required my attention. Still, it felt great to actually play through a Sonic game rather than using a game save or level select.

Back to Magna Carta 2. Things are going smoothly.

I fought a couple of bosses, did a couple of quests. Got the achievement for Finishing Quest numero 80.

Game started out pretty dull at the beggining, but quickly it has become one of my fav RPG this generation(even if I never get to play Tales of Vesperia). A fresh alternative to Lost Odyssey's otherwise harsh difficulty.
The characters are likeable, there are many fun moments and combat is simple.

Well worth the discount price I payed for Magna Carta 2.

Playing through the Halo trilogy in a row before Halo Reach comes out (next month).

I am about half way through Halo, and I have to say I am kind of just now 'getting' the game. I mean, I always liked it enough, but now I am just really really starting to understand just why it is considered one of the best ever. The only thing that does not really hold up today is the graphics, everything else is outstanding enough to be considered great even if it was released just now. I had this same kind of revelation with Revenge of Shinobi, which I did not like growing up.

I am honestly not very excited to play Halo 2 though. While I think the multiplayer is better, the campaign is really not anywhere near as good and is generally just boring in comparison... Though it has been years, so a lot could be different now. Maybe.

As for Halo 3, I was thinking about maybe getting some people together to play through Legendary. It would be fun, that is for sure.

I disagree in the case of Limbo. That game has very basic gameplay which means no technical and physical exploration like you would see in the Sonic trilogy. There is not much to the game outside of just beating it, and once you have there is no real reason to return to the game practically. The cherry on top is that the game is literally around 4 hours long. There is a walkthrough of the game where the guy playing dies a few times on YouTube that is only seven videos long, and most do not reach the 10 minute limit even!

There are tons and tons of XBLA games that are much larger with bigger and more deserving gameplay for every ones money. Snoopy is a good example in that it is only $10 while it has much more content to go by. I am not saying the $15 price is wrong for anything on there, I would gladly recommend Shadow Complex to anyone who owns the console.

I just played the first two for the first time this year.  I actually liked the second one's campaign a lot more than the first game's.  The first one was fun and had an interesting story, but some of the levels were just huge repeating areas, that were really boring and tedious. The Library pops to mind.
I liked the fact that you played as the Arbiter in the second one too.

Tonight, I played through the first 3 worlds of Super Mario Bros. 3 with my girlfriend, and my best friend. Good times.
