It's a bit of a letdown.  To me it feels a lot like the first one, but the story is a little better.  maybe now I'm excited for PSO2, I don't know.  I'm buying my dad's house, so I' moving in a month.  I packed up all the consoles except the PS3 (for when Netflix movies come in the mail) and the DS and PSP.  I've also got a PSP go coming in the mail, so I don't want to get too far in it and have to start over again.

Playing R.U.S.E.

Bloody hard game at some points, I just finished the Bastogne campaign I think, the single player is pretty good. Haven't played a great deal of multiplayer yet, but it's pretty fun. Can be a bit slow paced though, but that might just be the people I'm playing against.

Will be starting Yakuza 3 tomorrow night!

More firefight with my friends on Halo: Reach, my friend Joe has the game now too- although instead of being focused on defeating the covenant we were too busy talking about his interview for Google.

I have also bought Sonic Adventure on PSN but haven't had the chance to play it.

Sounds cool. I'll probably pick it up whenever the price drops a bit on PSN.

I was just thinking about pricing on PSN when I bought Valkyria 2 and PSP2.  They were $40.00 each for download titles.  There's no competition, and no other way to buy the games if you have the PSP Go.

It's usually the best price around here.
A lot of the time, the MSRP in Canada is a bit higher than in the United States, because the dollar isn't worth quite as much.
Usually, you'd be looking at paying $5 more for a PSP/DS game, and $10 more for first party Wii games.

On the PSN though, they've got the same prices as the American store, so it's usually a great deal.  That, and the games go on sale pretty often.

I just beat Metroid: Other M.  The post ending sequence was pretty fun. Brought back some memories from Zero Mission.

Overall, I'd probably give the game a solid 7.5/8.  The story is actually really good, but the voice acting can be a bit bland at times.  The controls took a while to get used to (using a D-pad to move around in a 3D environment is something I can't really remember a game past the PSOne doing), but it really does work with the way the levels are layed out.  I'd be interested in seeing what they could do in a sequel.

Just beat Shining Force EXA last night. The ending is something of an RPG equivalent to a "CONGLATURATION ! ! !" screen. xD But that's okay, it strangely doesn't bother me all that much.

Then I went to the new area of the world I unlocked after completing the story, only to be destroyed by the very first enemy. =P

Etrian Odyssey III. Not sure if (m)any of you guys play dungeon crawlers on the DS, but I'll say this; it's my favorite gaming series ever.
Don't believe me? You might want to watch this.

Meanwhile, I just finished Deadly Premonition. This is currently my personal pick for Game of The Year.
Don't believe me? You'll definitely want to watch this.

Other than that, I'm slipping in some time for [s:2olm0h5v]War Tech[/s:2olm0h5v] Senko No Ronde. Not a brilliant game, but still very underrated. If you really enjoy Virtual On I think you might enjoy Senko.
Don't believe me? That's your problem, bub!  :P

Having recently played through Metroid: Zero Mission, Super Metroid, and Metroid: Other M, I'm onto Metroid Fusion.

So far, it's shaping up to be my favourite of the bunch.  It's pretty cool to see all the cut-scene bits referring to characters and events that were the big focus of Other M.

I'm now on the 7th mission on my legendary playthrough of Halo: Reach, it's extremely hard in places!

I've also been playing Sonic Adventure on the psn and now the nostalgia has worn off I'm thinking that it has aged very badly compared to any good 2d game.

Strange that nostalgia would wear off instead of grow stronger over time.

Well, I've completed Shining Force EXA 100% now. Boy, was that last mansion fun. ^__^ Overall, I really enjoyed playing this game, despite what flaws it had.

I beat God of War II this morning, most of the issues was figuring out the past powers I had (I have not played it in months and was like half way through). After I got the hang of it, it was easy.

Started God of War III. I already got to the part where you kill [spoiler:civ8gg21]Hercules.[/spoiler:civ8gg21] What is up with the change in the QTE buttons? Why are they are random sides of the screen, 1/4ths in size of the originals? I swear, I have died in like 30 QTE scenes.

Bosses are way too easy.
