Just started VCII and i already like it a lot, both for the design and gameplay even if i have to understand well how it works. it's a bit complicated at the begin

When you're in the mission briefings, pay attention to what unit types give what bonuses.  That'll make upgrading character classes a lot easier, and less random.

I played about 3 hours of Kirby's Epic Yarn with my girlfriend today. Probably the cutest thing ever.  Everybody goes on about the art style (which looks awesome), but I thought the music was a real standout feature.  The piano bits especially sound fantastic.
The narrated cut-scenes have a real Shining Time Station/Thomas the Tank Engine feel to them too.

Still playing Enslaved. It's really quite good, but I can't put my finger on what it is I like about it. It's kind of just the blend of many different features and elements. It's certainly very addictive though, 'one more mission' seems to pop up all the time. Also the voice acting and animations on the characters is incredibly good. Reminds me a bit of Prince of Persia reboot, which I also loved.

As soon as I finish this game, I'm moving onto New Vegas and Vanquish.

I really enjoyed Enslaved, the story is much better than most action games.

I am playing Alan Wake, finished the main story and am playing through the first bit of dlc.

Finished Tail's story on Sonic Adventure.

I can't beleive how easy this story mode was.

All I have left now is Gamma, Knuckles and Big stories.

The plot in game? How should I put it, I feel sorta embarrased by it, I am so surprised how informal and open the characters are to one another even in casual conversation. It sometimes feels like the classic animated Disney movies of old (I don't mean, the 90's ones, I'm talking 60's and 70's). The right use of music, there is also a serious attempt at drama.

Strange that even after many years, Sonic Adventure's plot, while strictly that of a Saturday Morning Cartoon, it feels quite solid and just the right amount of comedy and drama.

Unlocked Super Sonic. So awesome to see him return! Now I have to play through Sonic 4 all over again, spamming my way through with super moves. I especially like his down pose and the fact that a homing attack causes a shock wave. Also, the super spin dash is great.

Started playing Virtua Tennis on the GBA. Awesome game! The world tour mini-games are crazy. I especially like the one where you pop open eggs and get animal prizes. It's like if Shenmue's capsule machines merged with tennis. Good stuff.

Just finished Knuckles's Story Arc on Sonic Adventure DX in less than hour and a half.

Dude, I don't know if it's because I played the heck out of the original Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast, but this game is a cakewalk, even the tougher bosses are a breeze.

Yeah, I blew through Knux and Big in one sitting. Game is a lot quicker when you aren't marveling at the 128 bit graphics.

Ah... sweet memories of 1999...

I miss when console power was measured in bits.....

I'm on the fourth disk of Final Fantasy IX, and started what I assume to be the final dungeon.  PSP's charging right now, so I'll probably go back to playing some more Okami, or trying out Killzone 2.

If you go to the drill grounds, and look at your individual units, you can see what certificates and whatnot they need to advance to different classes.
I couldn't find an image of the screen, but at the beginning of every mission (story or regular), it has a list of the units that you'll be facing, and it shows what bonus you get for taking them out right beside it.  This way, if you want to make a certain scout into a sniper, you'd look up what bonuses they need to become one.  Then at the mission briefing, if say, an enemy lancer had that bonus, you'd use the scout you want to upgrade to take out the lancers.

It makes more sense when you play the game. It took a long time for it to "click" for me.  This complicated way of upgrading units was probably the only thing that I didn't really like about the game.

Sorry if the explanation doesn't make sense. It'll make more sense if you've actually got the game in front of you.
