I've been thinking that myself quite often. Given muppets usually have their legs covered, would the illusion of running be efficient for Sonic if his legs were concealed most of the time?
Depending on the budget, but I'll guess yes, it would be like that since it's easier than making a running animation.
They could make a normal running animation like this but then speed up the animation to make it like it's running fast.
This looks so cool! A Dreamcast release would make sense given Sonic Underground came after the Saturn.

As much as I am waiting for the PC release, I shouldn't get to hyped over it given I imagine the first thing I'll see when I start the game is premium marketing.
The premium things are just cosmetics but I don't think I'm gonna playing this again.
I never got the first place in this online multiplayer game.
