I never got mugged since I never go alone. Muggers targeted people who came alone. If we came in groups with friends, we'd never had any problems with them.

Actually I never saw anyone's being mugged, just a story from friends.
There are also some friendly arcade centers that's safe. They're located in a mall, superstore, and cinema. But they are more expensive to play (using their own coins instead a quarter). It's fair I guess since they need more to rent a space in those comfortable places but the price difference was mattered for a kid. I only switched to go there after I was in college and had a part time job.
Nah, as far as I'm aware, it's a UK thing. Even most Brits find it redundant.
I guess BBC is right when they claimed they shaped some modern British culture, wanted or unwanted.
