See? Same with most western gamers back then.
That's why western publisher were hesitant to bring RPG to the west (also localization costed a lot lot more compared to normal platformer / puzzle / sports games).
It's a pity because I fell in love with FF7 style of gameplay but couldn't find many RPGs like it.
I hope so too.
I also hope those who already purchased Mega Drive games on Steam will not have to re-purchase them for the big "if" Sega release a library.

You can download and play SEGA Classics games whenever you want, as long as you own them before December 6th."

Several VHS recordings of never before seen Sega Channel found and preserved online

Quote
To our knowledge, the bulk of this footage is of several periods in Sega Channel history of which visuals and music were never preserved since. The footage comes from two separate VHS tapes dated 1997 and 1998, so we’re looking at moments of Sega Channel from the last couple of months where it was online. While the games shown are stuff we already knew was part of the service, there are some things to note. First, the Earthworm Jim hints video, which was never preserved, is shown here for the first time since the late 90’s. Second, it shows gameplay footage of Pulseman (1994), one of the more well known import games available in North America only via Sega Channel (Which is now currently available again through a different games on demand online service: Nintendo Switch Online). Third, one of the videos shows some Vectorman fan art that one especially creative Sega Channel subscriber sent in to have viewable to ...

FANTASIA (Sega Genesis) - Hack - Improvement and Mode 1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwTxKGFXMJM

Quote
This Fantasia hack for the Sega Genesis tries to make the game more playable.

Improvements by tryphon:

Turnover, jump preparation and reception animations are removed, and Mickey keeps his momentum. It makes the game much more enjoyable
swimming physics is lighter : when not using button C, you don’t sink anymore (you must press “down” for that)
Hitbox have been refined a little : they stay too big when you attack (making attack easy), but are shrunk when you’re being attacked (making defense easier). It’s far from perfect though, since the hitbox system of the game is quite primitive

2 cheat codes have been implemented:
A+B+C+Start on the title screen - invulnerability.
A+B+C+Right when paused - go to the next scene in the current stage.
A+B+C+Up when paused - go to the first scene of the next stage.

Improvements by Razor:

Staring magic: 7 to 30

Rebalanced magic cost:
   Little spell: 1 to 0
   Big spell: 3 to 1

Rebalanced damage:
   Little spell: 1 to 1
   Big spell: 3 to 2
   Bounce attack : 1 to 4

Rebalanced magic refill:
Simple flying spell book: 1 to 8
Secret flying spell book: 3 to 8

Mode 1 support is made by ‪@Bonemagee‬ and Razor

I know, I still have all the Mega Drive games on Steam... but still. Was hoping Master System and Sega Saturn games will have Steam releases eventually.

12 SEGA Master System games were playable in Lost Judgment!

1. Alex Kidd in Miracle World
2. Fantasy Zone
3. Penguin Land
4. Quartet
5. Enduro Racer
6. Woody Pop
7. Maze Hunter 3-D
8. Secret Command
9: Fantasy Zone II Opaopa's Tears
10: Alien Syndrome
11: SDI
12: Darius II

So we know that they can make the collection if they want it.
But may be they're taking time to make the collection's larger, also the licensing things.

While super-unlikely, I'm still holding out hope for a "Sega Superstars VR". A collection of Sega-themed mini-games suited for VR gaming.

Because if I could add to such a compilation, I would include a segment with all the Master System 3-D games.

Super unlikely from SEGA but still's likely from third parties.
Space Channel 5 VR Kinda Funky News Flash! and Cosmic Smash sequel came to VR was thanks to the third party companies afterall.
