Hm... why not just have a new definitive version of the game for modern etc? A DX version.
I mean, the developers coming together after 30 years just for the same games I can get on an emulator...
It will have a definitive version (labelled as 64-bit era).

In this game we could switch from 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit, and 64-bit era.
Just like Wonder Boy: Dragon Trap or Alex Kidd DX where we could switch from 8-Bit to Modern era.
It's a remake like them with tributes to the classics, not just rom being puts in an emulator.
