Al Nilsen : "He was a gamer himself and looked at the screenshots they had and made a lot of comments like, ‘Well, why don’t we do this? What if I did this? What if this is how the battles go on?’ We had been told by Michael’s head of security as we were going up, ‘You have a 20-minute window that Michael likes to be in meetings, so expect this to be only 10-15 minutes long’ and we probably ended up spending over an hour with him, just Michael and I talking, with the rest of them just looking down and listening. Michael kept being called on the intercom because he was needed down in the studio, and he said, ‘I’ll be there, I’ll be there’ and just kept talking about the game."

You may remember that a report from Bloomberg in April last year said that SEGA is investing in its extensive back catalogue of classic video games and are currently working on reboots for Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio. These two SEGA games will apparently be the first of the reboots and they are scheduled to release in the next few years. Fast forward to today and SEGA has sent out a new survey which is being distributed to specific fans and it mentions a number of older SEGA franchises which haven’t been touched in years and ...

One of my favorites. Glad there's people out there who also liked this one.
Here's how both this remake and its sequel could work:- Updated story with more fleshed-out characters.- Fixed controls, especially camera controls.- Both games should be open world, where you could roam freely around the city, talk to people, do missions, and play minigames and SEGA arcade games, including the original Altered Beast.- Rename Foret City to Forest City.- In both games, when you play as Luke (as Human), you could walk, run, jump, punch and kick, dodge-roll, interact with objects and people, use weapons (guns, close combat weapons, etc.), drive vehicles, and swim. You could enter the transformation menu anytime you want, on the ground, in the air, even within a vehicle (you automatically jump out/the vehicle gets destroyed in the process). Same goes for reverting back to Human (ground, air, etc.).- Make the cutscenes (and the transformations) JUST as cinematic as the announcement/teaser trailer.- Keep the gory CGI transformations, but maybe don’t have them play EVERY SINGLE TIME you transform, at least not during heated affairs with enemies and bosses. And make new transformation scenes for Weretiger. Just imagine how awesome it would be to fly a helicopter or a plane, chasing an enemy in the air, then jumping out, choosing a Beast Form in mid-air (time stops or slows down in the transformation menu), and going Garuda, Dragon, or U.W.H. (Unidentified Weightless Human) on the enemies.- Make Luke's Health, Spirit Energy (Beast Form), attacks, combos, and other Human abilities upgradable, along with each Beast Form.- The player should be able to lock on to enemies and bosses.- Garuda, Dragon, and U.W.H. (Unidentified Weightless Human) could actually fly freely in the sky.- Werewolf, Wendigo, Grizzly, and Weretiger could climb buildings. (Werewolf and Weretiger would be faster, and Wendigo and Grizzly would be slower, but Wendigo and Grizzly would be harder to get knocked/shot off the wall.)- Werewolf and Weretiger could make huge jumps to get from building to building.- Wendigo would be much bigger and be able to lift cars, trucks, and other large objects.- Merman could be used underwater, as well as on land, but his attacks would be more effective in water.- ...
Shortly after the deal was signed, Sam Tramiel suffered a heart attack and control of Atari Corp was passed back to his ageing father, Jack. With the prospect of seriously challenging Sony, Nintendo and Sega in the upcoming next-gen console war getting slimmer each month, the elder Tramiel wisely decided it was time to get out of the video game business and brokered a reverse merger with hard drive maker JTS on July 30th, 1996. Atari, and the Jaguar, were dead.As you can see from these scanned documents, Sega was willing to ...
For over 30 years I've been dreaming of a sequel to Altered Beast. Then I thought of Altered Beast 2 - The Seven Depths of Hell for Genesis. So now, with the help of the Scorpion Engine, let's see where it goes. At least one complete level I believe is possible to put out.
